This course will challenge you when the conditions are right. 2 very tough finishing holes for your out/in. No homes which is nice!

Played 7/9. Got the 2 for 1 deal after @ 2pm for $27 +tax. Karsten is always reasonably priced at any time of year. Course was in decent shape for the summer. They were performing maintenance on a few holes. Holes #7 & #11 you have to tee off from the ladies tee, since they are working on re- sodding the tee boxes. Greens were around 10.5 - 11. They were able to hold a high spin ball. Cart service was great. She got to us 4 times on 2 for 1 soft drinks. The changes they are making to the course are making a tough golf course even tougher. it's worth playing, to test your game.

Played 6/6. Paid $25+ tax. Overall the course was in good shape. Greens were a little to thin and hard. (Pro shop said they would start aerating next week.) Golf course is now a Par 70. Hole #'s 5 and 10 have been changed. They were two short Par 5's. Now they are two long Par 4's. Staff was pleasant & courteous. They have a good summer special which I'll post in the rates section. This remains as one of my favorite courses to play. BONUS... They give you a coupon for free ice cream @ the turn.

Best value in the area. We played on November 25th, 9 a.m. course was deserted!! Don't know why, but no one was playing that day, even when we finished no one was teeing off. Rack rate was $70 (plus tax) but you can get better rates and various specials if you want to wait 1-5 days prior to your perferred date to book. After we booked at the rack rate, I received an email with a $50 (plus tax) offer for the weekend we played. This course is a very demanding course, you MUST hit the fairway otherwise you lose you ball in the high and difficult rough and there is absolutly NO roll in that rough. They have made this test of golf even tougher by changing the 10th and the 15th holes from par 5's into par 4's with no change in length, so it now plays to a par 70 !!! The greens were not as smooth nor as fast as usual but they were fine to putt on. This course, eventhough it is difficult, is a must play course. Emphasis is on shot making and accuracy, using various types of shots in your short game, as lies will dictate what you can do. Lots of well placed bunkers. It will test every club in your bag and test your shot-making ability.

Every Weds. after 2pm until Sept 30. You can play here for Half Price. Playing this golf course, you can see why the ASU college teams are so good. This course makes you a better player by never giving you the same shot twice. Even hitting it in the fairway doesn't necessarily mean you'll have a flat lie. Holes #9, #16, & #18 require long and accurate tee shots to avoid the water. Greens are smaller than on most courses around here, so bring a good short game. The card they give you with all the hole descriptions does help. Sevice was OK. Course has some burnt patches, but not bad for summer.

If you miss the fairway this course can become quite dificult. The mounds on either side of the fairways contribute significantly to the difficulty of this course.

Play this on every trip to AZ. Rough was being "grown out" for an upcoming collegiate tournament, so it was even more difficult. The one criticism this time, was that the usually great service was lacking somewhat. On a very hot day the coolers on the carts were not filled with ice, we had to ask about heading off to the first tee box, minor, but still not up to their usual standards.

One great golf course !! Have played it several times and it has always been in great condition. Even during overseeding the course was in great shape. Staff (always plenty of them) are attentive, and not pushy. Kudo's to the management for doing a good job training/working with them. This course is a great value, and will test you.
