Played this course over Labor Day weekend. I like the layout, and liked the course, but did not like the 4" high bermuda grass right off the fairway at all. I don't hit the straightest ball around . . but I'm not all over the place either. It was quite frustrating to spend 5-10 minutes looking for drives when you could watch them bounce in the fairway, and barely roll off into the bermuda grass and into the "rough". You would literally have to step on the ball to find it after that. The course is very well laid out. There are a few blind shots that surprise you. Must have been about #5-6-7 where you were driving from an elevated tee box into what appeared to be a very narrow landing area. Lo and behold once you got past the corner . . the fairway was wide open and you were looking at an elevated green. I loved this hole! There are several holes with water, but it doesn't really come into play. Didn't get to play #18 because one of our lovely Southern Arizona monsoons rolled in very hard and very fast. So, the water may come into play on 18 but I really doubt it. I would play this course again, but I certainly won't rush out to play it. Would like to see them manicure the "off fairway grass" a little bit before I'm going to spend all my time searching for golf balls. One other note. The online directions to this course are incorrect. The course is not located at the resort. It is on the east side of the freeway . . I'm going to guess about 5-7 miles away from the resort.
