There used to be several reviews on this course and a score card listed.
I played here many times in the 80's. My parents lived nearby and I would play when we came to visit.
I always enjoyed it and the course always seemed to be in pretty fair shape.
My son and I would tee off around 6:30 and pay our green fees at the turn.
I guess that doesn't happen anymore.

RDR has been improving the last couple of years, due to course management and maintenance. In 2006, cart paths were installed on the front nine, and the back nine are due to be poured this summer (2007). The course is in the best condition prior to the intense summer heat; however, maintenance has been moving and replacing sprinklers to alleviate some of the more difficult situations, such as dry spots/excessively wet areas.
Overall, the course is flat and easy to walk. The layout is reasonably challenging, yet forgiving, as most fairways are adjacent to one another. Fairways bordering on OB are still generous from the tees, and are always OB to the left. Water is in play on eight holes, but should not be a significant factor if shots are played squarely. Greens are receiving a lot of attention, are fairly firm (improving), and maybe a 6-7 in terms of speed. Sand traps and bunkers are a bit inconsistent, wet/dry, which can be a challenge. Trees are fully mature and present a real hazard to errant drives/approach shots. Many 70-100 foot pine and eucalyptus trees line adjacent fairways.
In all, a friendly place to play and a reasonable value, especially walking! BTW, the course just got a new fleet of Yamaha carts, a HUGE improvement!
