played Fri 7/25, teed off at 12:30, 5:45 round!! huge slow tourney in front of us. Played 7/26 teed off at 9, 4:45 round. course in great shape. greens are nice, fairways nice... a bit wet in spots but playable, beautiful weather. greens are moderate speed. there is something funky about them in terms of reading them, i wasn't able to figure it out 100% in 45 holes, but i still putted well. overall, i still love this course.

One of the best places to play in this area. The views, quality of the course. I wish i lived closer.

This course was awesome, great greens, lush fairways, and enough character to make you want to come back. A very good test of golf and you won't be disapointed. The green fees are reasonable especially if you have a Red Dot book, two-for-one. Make your plans and take a cruise up the 101 to play this little gem.

Check this course out. Great condition, well worth the fee, aesthetically first-rate, beautiful layout. This was my first time here and I will be back. Again, course cart service was non-existent on a Saturday (what up with that?). The girl behind the bar/food counter had a bad attitude, but we did not let that ruin what was otherwise a great 27 holes!

played this track last year the same week I played Monarch Dunes, this track was in very good condition and was pleasing to the eye, greens were in great condition and consistent from hole to hole for speed, a course where you will have to use every club in your bag, a 'should play' if youre in the area

We played on 1/15 with a late morning tee time. We were surprised it took us about 4 hours to play 18. Can't play this fast back home.

The course conditions were great. It was our first time playing here. Fairways and greens were in great shape. This is a very challenging course. The greens were very fast compared to greens back in LA. This course requires accuracy as some of the fairways are quite narrow. There are a lot of environmently sensitive areas, so if you hit your balls way off the fairway, you cannot retrieve your balls. Course is not flat. There are a lot of holes where you are hitting uphill and some where you are hitting downhill. Try not to hit in the bunkers. Some of the bunkers are quite steep to get out. I was in some greenside bunkers where I couldn't see the flag on the green.

But the scenery here on the course is just beautiful. Course winds around homes. There is no GPS in the carts, so I recommend you buy the course guide at the pro shop. We're adding this course to list of courses to play when we are in the area.

This course is special. I have always seen this course listed in the SCGA book for hosting US Open & US Am Qualifiers and never knew we had a course of this caliber in our area. After playing this course I can see why it has received the accolades it has from Golf Digest. Its absolutely gorgeous and a solid challenge. Each time I have played this course the conditions have been great. They seem to have great pride in the upkeep and maintenance of the course. The course does wind through a housing community but it allows for each hole to be secluded from the next. A fantastic course. Worth every penny.

We played this course on Sunday, 10-7 on our first annual golf and wine trip to central California. We also played Monarch Dunes, Hunter Ridge Ranch, and La Purisima (see those reviews). This course is lush, with nice fairways, pretty deep rough, and nice greens. Very hilly course which we walked, so we got a good workout. But there is a lot of distance between some of the holes, which added a good 20 minutes to the round, and prevented us from finishing before dark. Next time we'll use carts. Most of the holes are lined with houses, which takes away from the experience. If you want solitude go to Hunter Ranch or La Purisima.

Played on 9/29. Very nice course. What I didn't like was the overwatering on what seemed like every hole. Lot of hills so you're either hitting uphill or downhill on a lot of shots. Some of them very steep hills. No GPS so distance was somewhat hard to judge. Probably have to play here a few times to get the feel for it. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Played the 23rd of Aug. and loved it. Playing conditions were perfect, fairways and greens were lush, temp was 68. Worst thing about this course is the 2 hrs & 45 min. from my house, wish it were closer. Will go back soon !!!!

Played twi-light on 11-30 on a clear crisp and windy day. Course is good, greens were a bit pocked but rolled true, faster than previous visits. Fairways were in great shape, tee box's good, as always this course is overall very good. Staff very friendly and food at the snack bar is really good.

Played this course on 10/13 and was pleasantly surprised. We played a pretty leisurely round as there was no one in front of or behind us for several holes. Course was in great shape except for a few tee boxes that were a bit chewed up. Some serious sand traps on this course that are very deep with lots of soft sand. Greens ran very fast.

WOW!! Great track. Played 6/21, 36 Holes Blue Tees first then Blacks in the afternoon. One to two club wind in the afternoon. Worth the drive from Lompoc. Great food and the Pro shop is well stocked.

Played Cypress on Sunday, June 4 for $82. A bit pricey, considering Monarch Dunes is right around the bend in Nipomo. Still, this course is in outstanding condition. Couple of tee boxes were a little bit up and/or uneven. Fairways, rough and greens were great. Greens are firm, but will hold a shot - they putt really true if you can find the right line. Bunkers had good sand, but most (including the fairway bunkers) were incredibly deep. Some greenside bunkers could hide a 6-foot golfer. Look for a coupon or special to play this course on the weekend - for a better rate, and almost no homes on the course, try Monarch Dunes.

Played after really heavy rains the day before, course drained very well. Greens were soft but lots of un repaired ball marks and divots, come on people fix it. At almost every green, I repaired at least two or three fresh ball marks. Course was very lush all around and for a $30.00 rate for twi-lite you cant beat that

I would highly recommend this course to anyone coming to the central coast area. Of all the courses in the area, this is a must play. The course is in fantastic shape with fast greens right now.

Played on a Thursday around noon, and the course was in pretty good shape. The greens are a mixture of bent grass and poanna (I think), which led to some challenges. The course is defnitely tough--don't let the yardage fool you. There are some really interesting holes with unique challenges. If it weren't running through a housing community, it'd be even better. They only have 150 yard-sticks, but all the sprinkler heads had marked yardage which was fantastic help--and there are plenty around.
