Link N Greens presents two very different 9-hole sets. I played the North for the first time today, so I'll start with that. The North Course is a par 32 that totals 2,141 yards from the whites. Unlike the South course, the majority of holes on the North are dead straight par 3s and 4s, ranging from 121 yards to 331 yards. The one par 5 on course goes at 492, and is still pretty straight forward. The North Course has a definite lack of hazards- if I remember right, I only encountered water on #3, and any sand was easily avoidable. All in all, the North is good for working short irons on and off the tee - a good play if you can't get on the South.
The South course is a more well rounded 9. It's about 300 yards longer than the North, but still contains only one par 5 - the 568 yard #6. The difference lies in the layout. The South has short par 3s, long par 3s, long 4s, straight holes, light dog legs, plenty of water, and lots of trees.
The course overall is in pretty good shape. The greens are decent and mostly slow. Improvement could come on the tees and the transfers from greens to tees. The boxes a bit ragged, though not blasted to oblivion with divots, and the tees are marked with painted rocks. Be sure to keep an eye out for signs to your next tee box, the walks aren't via path and are more lengthy than average.
Overall, Link N Greens is a good course if you want to get 9 in after work (very easy to walk on without tee times).
