I've got a lot golf I want to play this month, whether its at full capacity or just a few wedges and a putter, I'll find out shortly. Will be grateful for each and every round I play that is for sure. Hoping I can recover from my rib injury while still playing even if very limited.

Looking forward to hearing about everyones rounds.

played 36 today at Rancho San Marcos today with some awesome GKers. Not playing as much golf anymore like I used to and my game is rusty in spots.

73 in the morning(managed to hit 16 greens in regulation) with some great ballstriking but pulled a John Starks NBA finals performance with the putter and went 1 for 16 on birdie putt attempts-- 36 putts hurt what could have been an under par round.

77 in the afternoon--this round included 5 birdies(including 4 on the back nine)--sure played some gross golf on several of the other holes(lol).

Had a great time with Johnny, Larry, Alex and Ron on a beautiful day on an awesome challenging course---great group to play with.

First round in April for me was at Santa Anita gc yesterday, and it was also my first round there ever. I loved the course!

I scored an 81. 43 in front and 38 in the back. I got 4 strokes from my opponent and I think I played well enough for not knowing the course, and still lost. But it was one of those losses that I gladly bought my opponent a can of soda in exchange for a great fun day of match that never got anymore than two strokes early in the round but it was pure fun after that- worth the 80 drive although I understand that distance is not unusual from many guys here.

The course was an inspiration... that's for sure.

91 at reflection- Waaaaaay to many Lost balls. I lost 6 golf balls on Friday at RB. Luckily my scrambling was on point and having 29 putts on aerated greens is a plus. Strange thing was my drives were straight but sometimes straight into the S%!t

Friday at Aliante for a quick afternoon round on a breezy and warm day. We played the Falcon tees, stepping back to 6657 yards (71.0/131) because Aliante always plays firm and fast. The added distance really came into play on #2 (450ish par 4, dead into the wind). Deep, high face green side bunkers with super firm sand was the death of me on the front and I didn't card a bogey until #5. Worse front 9 of the year.

Enter drink cart with a beer special.

Back 9 started great, with a birdie on the par 5 #11. Just short of the green in 2, chip to about 15 feet, and drained the putt (1st birdie ever on 11, usually eats my lunch). Had a chance at back to back birdies with an 8 footer on 12, but burned the edge (4 of those today). Still had a chance at a sub 100 round, but finished double-triple-double for a 47.

Afterwards, the Voodoo Daddy got a new grip, hopefully I stopped burning edges (its been the story of my last few rounds).

I haven't been playing too great lately, but I was in a scramble event last Friday at Sand Canyon CC. Our team won the B-Flight with an 11 under.

I had a good feeling all day. To start things off, I won the putting contest. About 100 golfers hit putts from the fringe of #9 green at the same time. I watched as my ball tracked to the hole; balls crossing its line every which way but nothing hit it and it settled about 8" from the hole for the win ($50 Amazon gift card)!

Hole 2 on the Valley course had a free shot with the "Golf Cannon", an air-powered potato launcher! I hit the green from the white tees (327 yards), then one of our team made the 38 footer for a "Hole in One!"

Later, after the raffles and awards, my boss and I went out and hit some sunset golf for $27. We managed to finish 15 more holes before it got dark.

Overall, I felt pretty good about my golf game and I seemed to be hitting the ball better from driver to putter. I'm looking forward to playing with Stew, Greg, and Alex this Saturday at Skylinks in Long Beach for our team match play. It will be my first time there.
