The Harvester - Des Moines

Awarii Dunes. A great Jim Engh design. South of Kearney off I 80

Dakota Dunes Country Club - N of 80

Quarry Oaks Ashland NE - S of 80

Loved every one of them.

Harmony Club CO

TPC CO

Warren AFB Cheyenne WY - open to the public. just have to register at the main gate.

Only 3 I can think of close to I 80 as most of my golf was played farther south in CO.

Woodland Hills in Nebraska (Between Omaha & Lincoln)

Tournament Club of Iowa just northeast of Des Moines. (This is one of my very favorite courses - anywhere ! )

I was under the impression that Harvester may have gone private. I only played it once and very much enjoyed it..

The Prairie Club, Mullen Ne. 70 miles north of I80. I have not played there but by reputation it might be worth looking into. Their website and pictures provided are quite impressive.

Wildhorse, Bayside, Finkbine were all good. I played Amana Colonies and didn't care for it, but I know others who liked it! Have a good trip!

On that stretch, I have only played Wildhorse (NE), Fossil Trace (CO) and Lakota Canyon Ranch (CO). I would recommend any of them in a heartbeat.

Yes, 24hourgolf. You are correct. I forgot that is the I-70 that goes through Colorado. However, the I-80 does not go through Colorado at all, so maybe Jerry is cutting down into Denver and across Colorado like I had done? If that's the case, then my recommendations stand.

If not, never mind. I have no recommendations for southern Wyoming.

And if I was him, I would cut through to I 70 from 80 at Cheyenne. And yes those courses are ones to play. Not to mention, stop off in Grand Junction and play Redlands Mesa. And then head to Utah and stop in St George. Make a real party out of it.
