Talked with the guys yesterday at GolfMoose about their outings!

What are your thoughts the events they run?

Have you or are you planning on playing any this year?

Here's a link to their events page:

Looks like there are great possibilities if you are located in Northern California. However, not so good for the people in Southern California.

The goal is long and straight! But on the many times I cannot seem to hit them straight, I at least want to hit them long!

I played at one at ShadowRidge in Vista, it was a fun day.

But yeah, I am in for Zero of those NorCal opportunities.

I'm up in Minnesota for business right now, and I've been able to sneak in a little golf (Round #7 tomorrow). Holy cow there are some great $30 golf courses up here. But, it is MN, so it was 38* and snow when I arrived. Went up to 79*. Back down to a high of 42* and hard rain today. Tomorrow 64* and sunny. Wednesday 76*. It's Six Flags Magic Mountain of Weather.

QUOTED  I played at one at ShadowRidge in Vista, it was a fun day.

This was a fun outing! I thought it was well-planned, moved along quite well, and even if the groups were a bit loud with their music, I had a great time. Would love to see some more in So. Cal

Did one last year in Yes, Nor Cal, and I enjoyed it. Good course, fair price and nicely run. Not sure if I'll make any of the outings this year or not but that's only because of scheduling and so many other commitments this year.

I'm in NorCal and love their events. I'm playing one next Monday, 4/29, at Marin CC. Hopefully, they'll do more in SoCal. They do a great job organizing and running all their events, with access to courses you really want to play at reasonable rates.

I've played in mutiple outings over the past few years.

They are good deals for the clubs. Substantially cheaper than the NCGA member outings at the same courses.

The outings will be full (like 125-144 players full). But if you don't mind playing a slow round at a nice course, they are the way to go.
