So angry. Maybe they play it April 23-26 when I’m in Atlanta and I can sneak in.

That's a good thing. Many People are not taking this Virus seriously, thinking it will leave as quick as it came. Have you listen or heard the news lately ? This is serious stuff guys and gals. People are dying. Closing the Players Tournament and other sports events as well as large gathering events everywhere sends a message to all. Use caution and be aware of your surroundings until we get this thing under control. Just keep in mind that the "Spanish Flu" of 1917-18 killed over 50 million world wide. Stay safe people.

we are at the point in this where social distancing is the only answer.

I just had a discussion with a couple of people questioning why they cancelled the players... no spectators, low risk... but NO... it takes hundreds of people to run a golf tournament WITHOUT spectators. right now, we have to assume EVERYONE has it, and act accordingly. That's the only way to flatten the curve. If you don't know what that means, google it... you'll get a thorough primer on basic public health and it will be worth your time.

Last week, there was a big controversy over the best HS team in Norcal forfeiting their semifinal game due to the virus. My personal reaction was: this is stupid.. because this one action does nothing. It has to be everything or there is no point. They cancel this game, great, but guess what, the Kings played the very next day in front of 15000 people. They eventually played the game. But then after Gobert and Mitchell got the virus, all bets were off. The narrative changed. NBA cancelled, and the floodgates opened. And it should've happened weeks ago. The HS season is now cancelled btw.

No surprise...did anyone seriously think the powers-that-be who control The Masters were going to swim against the current? While they've always been proud of the fact that they answer to no one but themselves, there are some intelligent people that sit on their tournament committee who know this is not something to be messed around with.

Once the NBA took the first step by suspending their season, the other sporting leagues/organizations had to follow suit; to do so would have been reckless and irresponsible. I've admired how Adam Silver has conducted business during his tenure as Commissioner of the NBA (much more likable guy than David Stern) and commend him for stepping up and taking action, despite the economic impact it may have on the league's sponsors...as well as the arena workers who depend on those games in order to make a living. In that vein, I give a tip of the hat to the Cavaliers' Kevin Love, who will donate $100K to help the Cleveland arena workers. Ex-NBA player Jeremy Lin has also pledged $150K in a similar benefactory gesture.

Hopefully, now that the domino effect has taken place, people will begin to realize the coronavirus is a serious issue and take the necessary precautions in order to preserve their health. While it was too easy for some to dismiss this as a minor issue when it first surfaced, there's a good chance we haven't seen the worst of it yet.

SCGA postponed Team Play. The playoffs for the Saturday group was supposed to start next weekend.

Disappointed to not have the Masters. Love the tourney. At this point, I cannot fault them though. Playing might be safe but the volunteers and staff have to be in close proximity to others at various points in the day. it is a big economic hit for the citizens/businesses of Augusta.
