| Tuesday April 24, 2012 5:27 AM I was reading the thread "Have you improved" and I wondered how you guys keep track of sand saves, Fairways hit, Greens hit etc.. The most I’ve ever done was keep track of putts on my scorecard. do you fill up the scorecard with chicken scratch or? |

| Tuesday April 24, 2012 6:29 AM I have a Skycaddie SGX. It keeps track of those stats. Then I download it to my personal page on their website. From there, I get all the statistics for all my rounds. |

| Tuesday April 24, 2012 7:20 AM for the longest time I was tracking all the typical stats and plugging it into GK...but I have recently stopped doing, and have decided to just have fun on the course and only record the score.
As a 23HC I find those stats not all that meaningful...I suck at every aspect of the game.....I can just play spin the wheel on what to practice on during the week..... |

| Tuesday April 24, 2012 8:23 AM I use the box on the scorecard: big number is the hole total strokes, little number at the top right corner is putts, sand or penalties is an "s" or "p" in the lower right corner, green in regulation is a dot in the lower left corner, fairway hit is a check mark in the upper left. |

| Tuesday April 24, 2012 8:41 AM I print off a separate sheet of paper that helps me keep track of Statistical information. It was from a former golf social website that is no longer "available", so maybe I can POST a PICTURE of it for all GK'ers to use?

You "FOLD" it half across the dotted lines.
When you hit ANY PART of the FAIRWAY, I circle the "C".
When my tee shot misses any part of the fairway, including less than 1/4" of an inch...I circle the "L" and I circle the "R"
Driving distance? I take the time to walk off the actual true distance from the TEE Box marker.
EX: If card says 510,actual yardage maybe 499 yards. Once in the fairway etc, I write down the yardage to the center of the green using my laser or GPS, THEN calculate my yardage after my round.
Par 3's: Walk off the yardage and write down the club I used.
One stat I don't keep track of is "Putting distance".
Hope this helps!

| Tuesday April 24, 2012 10:43 AM Before my UPro broke, I kept the stats there. Else I just use the last 3 boxes in the vertical column of score card (they usually have 6 so I write others score on the first 3 from the top and I use the bottom 3 for mine). Score on the 4th box. On the 5th box, I'll put F for fairways, G for GIR, S for Sandie (line across S for failure). On the 6th box, I put number of putts. I tried to print off stat sheets but I don't always remember it and it was the easiest to just write it on the score card of each course since they provide one for you. |

| Tuesday April 24, 2012 11:18 AM I used to do similar to what xazntigerx does, score, putt, FIR, GIR and then got rid of FIR & GIR b/c i wasn't really hitting many of those, and then got rid of putts b/c when you're missing most of the greens, number of putts were all relative and didn't really show how well you putt or not.
so as of right now, i just put the score and try to enjoy the round.
btw xazntigerx, how did you guys like oak quarry? |
