SURVEYOR REPORT Surveyor Report: 5/18/2004
Without question one of the best courses I have played in Southern California. I was fortunate to experience all three 9’s (Canyon, Ranch, and Meadows) and although the Ranch 9 was clearly the best, the Canyon & Meadows were fantastic in their own right. I especially like the seclusion and grandness of the Ranch 9. It winds its way through the countryside and offers incredible shot value. The Canyon and Meadows have excellent shot value as well and present tremendously challenging holes.

From a maintenance standpoint, all three 9’s were very well kept. The greens rolled smooth, true, and fast. At times they were rather firm but no complaints. The fairways and rough were lush and well groomed. The tee boxes showed some divot damage but in general were very nice. Lastly, the bunkers were all well kept containing excellent sand.

Regarding the service, solid! The staff in the shop was professional and accommodating. The starter was on time and courteous. And we saw the on course beverage service at least 5 times.

Overall Steele Canyon Golf Club is a MUST PLAY!
