Memorial Day 6am 1st out 9. Flag was already up on the pole at half staff. Let's go!
Leaving plenty of time, to attend services at the local cemeteries.

Noteworthy The greens are almost healed now need to repair the ball marks left behind.
rolling much better and gaining the usual tricky speeds on downhills and breakers.
Fairways I found more often so can say they're ok too.
Bunkers were being machine worked didn't visit any.

Couple holes with a couple spots of extra wet. One on RS 8 roped off as GUR.
I embedded my pop-up drive short on 9.
Otherwise good fun had by us two. Worthy of higher rating than 3.03

Not worth a review but now you know. Give it 21 days if you want 100% putting
From the top$$$$ to the bottom $ it's just golf, and that's fun.
Upfront with the work and green fees a bargain. Better exercise than range work.

Played on Mandatory Golf Friday 1/16 to open up the 2026 season.
Called to be added a last minute addition to the group my buddy booked early in the week. Was too nice weather wise not to adjust my schedule and get out there. Many others had the same idea as the course was busy busy. Being in the foothills above the fog a factor too. 9 hole rate $19 walking / $28 shared cart holding prices from last year. 2 1/2 hr POP

Course is in good muni shape. Two and 1/2 holes CPO and some wetness lingering after a lot of early Jan rain. Now 7 days of mostly sunny with 7 more forecast. Conditions should be improving daily through the green. The greens good running a bit slower than normal. #2 back left gur one spot. I said to my friends who don't play much that these greens are the most tricky to putt because the nuances are not revealing to the eye. Deceptive speed so a lot to like. Score well here you can score anywhere.

Not much to add from my previous reviews. Repeating it's a kool laid back family vibe here. Local favorite of many, good value. Recommend

Only one employee in the shop at open and he was great getting a cart for my buddy bouncing around with a friendly smile on the hustle.
I was privileged to be able to raise old glory remembering and honoring those who gave all.
No pace of play issues following a single and twosome.
Course is a draw the ball design.
Most every hole exception the 9th a R-L drive will help you.
Greens still in recovery mode from aeration now and occasional bump and a few holes left to completely fill-in. Rolling moderate speed and better than last Saturday.
Mowing was active maintaining tee boxes and green surrounds. Watering on a few fairways.
The protective fairway bunker on 8 was damp from this my ball sitting up. Jumped in between streams made bogey.
Overall course is growing out and heading into summer look forward to good getting better trend.
Fun factor for me was up as I put in a clean 9 holes with 2 pars and 7 bogeys. Can't recall when last time I accomplished that.
I like the place. Even better when the driver cooperates. And some luck on my side this day.
Value rate imo at $19 walking. Blue collar golf in the foothills :)

Summer conditions update.
Mid-day on a moderate heat summer day for 9 holes of play.
Easy check-in and just a few minutes late. The group in front of us didn't raise the clear signal flag on the 1st hole so we had a little extra spacing to start before we caught up.
Greens rolling well holding the high wedge shots. Well kept respect the downhillers. I made a few long ones so extra star rating.
Fairways are fast and dry with run out. Mostly green a few brown areas and a couple gur wet areas. As expected.
Bunkers good. I was in the front one on 9 and it was machined. Easy out.
Family owned and operated. Good service, cold beer and fun.
Parred the signature hole par 3 4th. Martin made one foot putt on 8 for his first career birdie

Out early dew sweeping today. Mild weather and a day you'd choose if you were trying to entice someone to play day break golf.
Greens in good shape. If they were cut lower it would be preferable for play, but maybe not long term health as hotter weather is looming end of the week. Fully healed from aeration 4/19. That process was successful imo. Hit'em firm and inside the cup edge.
Second hole cpo and still saturated in spots rest of the fairways good. Drive was in a divot on the par 5 6th and chose to move it.
Bunkers a bit damp darker sand a few pebbles.
Tee boxes ok will need mowing asap some longer pieces of grass here and there.
The US flag was yet to be raised and I asked if I could do so, and was allowed the honor for Memorial Day.
Quick 1.5 hr 9 holes and home before the coffee got cold in the carafe.

3/17 St. Paddy's play. Early sun up 9 holes then returned for the 2nd loop at 2:30pm by then enjoying a green beer from the snack bar.
Overall general conditions are good for the price point. The bunkers are a bit dark and damp. Hard to define where the fairway to the rough transition is in most spots. I played the ball down and was ok 95% of the time getting what I deserved for a lie.
The greens rolling very nicely on the faster side, both freshly mowed and later in the day. Probably close to the best they get here and it was fun. I made my share so that helped.
As good condition right now to other courses at higher fees. Downhill putts needed touch. The putting surfaces are what will keep me coming back regularly as the warmer spring sun should get the rest of course growing in and dry out the wet areas.
Three holes CPO 2, 5, & long par 3 7th ; I usually walk.
Weather was sunny and mild so a great time had by all.

Back to the roots of the game and my memories. Played first out Sunday with a 6:10 tee time.
A light drizzle began to fall as we ate our breakfast burrito at the picnic tables (brought with us) under the oak trees near the #1 tee. Tee'd off on time but could not see the ball flight. Like we used to do in N.E. dew sweeping dawn patrol. Play by feel until the dawns early light. Found it in the fairway and made par to start. This week the tee times start at 6:30!
Greens are the highlight here. Enjoy the solitude of out early. We were passed by a single who said he likes running and speed golf on #2 fairway.
Overall no frills and fits the fees at $17 walking.
I call it coming back to my people after volunteering at Martis Camp Sr. Amateur last week. A course I will enjoy as a treat on volunteer day in October for sure.
My go to course to walk and work out my swing for more distance. Lag in process.
Great ownership now, they are working on the little details all the time to bring this course back into shape.

Quick update. It's all systems go at the regulation 9 hole course. Greens are rolling nice. As good or better than courses of double the green fee in the area. Rest of the course in good shape and cleaned up from a couple weeks ago. Bunkers have been machined worked and have too much sand in bottom for my one time visit.
Delayed on the 8th tee by a shotgun tournament (we were first tee time of the day) no one behind us so we putted extra and waited for them to clear. Still under 1 3/4 hr POP
Ownership and staff doing good things here.
The tourney put a target in the 8th fairway. I hit to 20 ft from about 200 yards marked my spot and signed off as "me". It's just fun!
