Played here last Friday, first time since June. Last year enjoyed this course and thought the conditions were pretty good for a muni. This year conditions have degraded, to the point where now the course is starting to feel really hacked up and poorly maintained. The greens were just aerated, so I didn't expect them to be very good, but they put a lot of sand on them - felt like you were putting on a beach at times, but aeration aside - a number of the greens had gouges in them, clearly they are doing a very poor job looking after them. The bunkers are not maintained - hard packed and many of them don't drain properly so had large puddles in them from light rain the prior day. The tee boxes are a joke, not flat at all, grass too long, hard to find a flat stance.

They've put a bunch of time and money into the driving range, with TopTracer radar tracking etc, but the course itself is going to pasture.

Will be taking this course off the rotation.

This was our midday slow round today. We had a 9:22 tee time and went off on time, paired with another twosome. Despite a big line of players ready to go out, the starter and pro shop did a good job of getting everyone moving. They braced us for a very slow round and it was a lot of waiting around. Ultimately, we finished in just over 4.5 hours and it really wasn't as bad as feared. Price again jaw-dropping for the town muni at $70 with cart!!!

Conditions here were also pretty nice, so there's a positive for a muni track. Pretty solid all around. Good tees and fairways. Rough pretty good coverage and just punishing enough to make you work. Greens firm and rolling smooth, but much slower than they looked. I wasn't in any bunkers, so no comments there.

Pretty standard parkland muni course that you could pick up and put in any town. A couple fun holes, but mostly pretty straightforward with no changes in elevation. What you see is what you get. Certainly not worth full price and probably always packed. Just another one to check off the list for me!

Played here on 12/24 in the AM. Pro shop paired me up with a threesome. Got a $38 rate which included cart. The course is still recovering from the 4+" of rain last week. The course was playable but had many wet areas so we had to play lift, clean and place and it was cart path only.

Greens: soft with slow speed but in good condition considering.

Fairways and rough: mowed with many wet areas.

Traps: in very good condition.

POP: over 4 1/2 hours

Challenge: very average, very wide fairways( I hit 13 of 14 so you know they are wide), very flat layout.

Played on Thursday afternoon as a single behind a twosome. Never had to do any real waiting as I played two balls in some cases. Overall I must say that they keep this course in pretty good condition for the number of rounds it gets on a daily basis. The tee boxes are all level until you get to the edges where they roll off, this takes away some targets. The fairways are all in great shape, no bare spots and no major divot damage. The greens are as good as can be expected or a muni, running about a 9 with some bumpiness. This course is good for target practice, almost all of the greens are identical, round, about 25x25, leaning back to front. Very predictable and simple to read. They have added some large trees to the No. 1 about 230 out right in the middle, this is to force the tee shot to the right which makes the hole play a little longer. Other than that its just a reasonable place for the money but not to challenging.

Played here last Wednesday (1/19). They are hosting several PAT's this year and I have not played there in over 15 years. The green fee was $28 walking kind of high for this course. Overall it is a great ego course short (6700 from the tips), the greens are all front to back very easy to read, and the fairways are pretty generous. The only thing that requires some attention is the wind. Played as a twosome behind several fourballs it was shere agony hit the ball wait 6-8 min. hit it again. The greens where very bumpy and they are in the process of sanding them right now. I would not play here if it wern't so easy to score for the PAT.

Conditions are usually pretty good for a muni - very few bare spots, decent tee boxes, nice roll on the greens (if a bit slow). Note that the greens don't break as much as you think!!

I would consider Sj Muni my "home course". Very friendly staff, they don't go the extra mile, but there definitely aren't mean either.

The greens are running a little faster this summer. They are cutting them noticeably shorter and they must be rolling them more often because I found the roll to stay true a lot longer than it used to and doesn't jump nearly as much. This is a large improvement over super slow bumpy greens of seasons past.

Fairways and rough are very green and lush. You really never get a bad lie at Muni.

Tee Boxes could definitely use some leveling. There are a lot of holes where you struggle to find a flat spot on the tee box, but it is a Municipal course and you shouldn't expect perfection.

Overall great place to play. Great place to score. Expect slow play, but you can have confidence that the course will be in good shape.

played the pm and the pace was really good, as there was few out there due to the warm weather I think. the course is still in great shape a bit bumpy on the greens but way better than others around. the grass is still really green and lush. the greens are due to be punched and sanded soon so check with them late sept... this course does have the pacesetter program on sat sun and selected days, where you sign up for free and agree to play ready golf, and pick up if you fall behind. the early groups are finishing under 3hrs and under 4hrs for the later groups... not bad. the practice area is still one of my favorites...

Wide open course so hitting left or right won't hurt you. Free replays makes this a great deal.
