This course is better than your typical muni. There are some interesting holes with just enough challenge to make it fun. In particular, the 5th hole has some real risk / reward. The entire hole bends around a lake on the right side, just daring you to cut it to the green. The Blue Monster Doral comes to mind, though I don't recall if it bends left or right. Anyway, I've heard big hitters go straight at the green from the tee box (350 yds from the blues) the water and carded a double bogey. That hole wins today. The course conditioning is average to good, but many tee boxes are a little uneven and spongy. There are many roped off areas right now, so you have to play lift, clean and replace on several holes. Still a very decent course. The 19th hole, Beeb's, is a true sports bar. Dozens of flat panels, good taps, food and servers. Among my favorite places to finish. The antique planes flying overhead from the adjacent airfield is cool too (If you're not easily distracted on the greens).
