played 36 holes 9/2 early morning. chard/zin, then zin/merlot. decent conditions, though greens were soft and damp from overnight/watering. I was told that they had aerated ~2wks ago, the cut marks were still visible and greens were bumpy. I was told they were "pretty much back to normal" - I hope that's not the case, or else they must always play slow and bumpy...
most bunkers were also wet like cement (is it not possible to avoid watering bunkers?) which wasn't much fun.
GPS in carts helps first-timer. distance to pins was accurate (vs handheld rangefinder).
early morning round was very nice - quick (played the first 18 as a single in ~2.5 hrs taking my time, often hitting 2nd shots for practice, etc), no wind, and not hot. It may go without saying, but this is not a walkable course imo, often long distances from green to next tee.
i'd make the drive back if I knew the greens were running fast.
