I felt the greens were in good shape but a few too many holes were gimmicks. Not much of a comparison to my home course the O-Club.

This was my first time playing La Contenta and I really enjoyed it. Too bad it's an hour from my in-law's place, but worth the drive. My father-in-law used to play this course often (10 yrs ago when he was playing a lot) and it helped having someone that knew the course.
Played on 7/5/08. We got right on, ahead of our 12:12 tee time, just the 2 of us (which was cool). We were pretty close to the foursome ahead of us, but when we got to the first par 5, they had hit their tee shots and were waiting for us to come up and play through....VERY COOL of them. The course didn't feel extremely "hard" but it was challenging. Greens were rolling nicely - the starter had said they were a 9.5 that morning. They also post the stimp reading each morning on their web site.

If you're within an 90 min drive, this course is must play. Further than that, then I'd say try to make at some point - you won't be disappointed!

We played La Contenta April 10-13. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. Really no complaints from our 4-some at all. Great value. With the 10th Green Inn Stay and Play package, you get unlimited golf and carts for $29 weekdays and $34 on the weekend. Best value around. The Inn was marginal, but again very reasonably priced at about $85/night for a double room. Fully recommend the package.

Good course, challenging with all the elevation changes and tight driving holes. Like all the par 3's

Always a nice course to play, despite the frozen greens at 12:00 in the afternoon - blame mother nature for the recent morning freezes. With the combination of doglegs and elevation changes, you're forced to think about your tee and approach shots on just about every hole, which makes up for what the course lacks in length. Pace of play was great. Always have fun here, will definitely be back soon.

the course is in decent shape but there are a lot of areas from 100yrds in to the green the fairway grass will just uproot when you try to hit ball resulting in a very fat shot,,this course is best played at the beginning of summer when its not over watered

Still an extremely good course. Fairways were a little wet, but the course is allocated so much water per year that if they don't use their allocation then next year they don't receive as large an allocation. Where the course is located they experience 100°-105° days, so the need for water is critical. Overall very good experience.

Greens are slow due to recent aerating. The course is very wet due to so much rain. When things dry up it is a great course to play and the green are fast and true.
