Played Wed 2/19, 10:30 tee time. 4:45 round as a 4some. A bit slow, with a little bit of waiting on almost every shot for 13 holes. Course is IMMACULATE. I couldn't believe how great in shape the course is. The only bad thing I would say is the bunkers are spotty, but totally playable. Greens are fast and true. 11 on the stimp. Nice warm day. Windy the first 2 hrs, and it died down. This is truly the best public course I've played in the Sac area, and it's not even close. Too bad it's so far. BTW: great deal through March: $99 includes a dozen Chrome Soft and a $10 F&B voucher M-Th.

Played 12/28/19 11AM on sunny mild winter day great weather. Earlier frost delay put us out a few minutes behind on the 10th tee 9's usually reversed in frost conditions since the back 9 thaws first. Course plays better this way in my opinion. Pace of play was the bummer at 5:20 total for 18. Course conditions were near perfect with the exception of damp conditions due to winter rains. Cart path only and fairways offered a bit more roll than the week before. Arrived early enough to use all the practice areas. The chipping and sand trap area very similar to the course. The larger practice green near the 10th hole is more like what the course greens are like than the smaller warm-up green near the number one tee on top of a hill. The view from #1 tee is stunning. All greens rolling smooth and well kept.
The pace of play is not usually an issue here but with a frost delay it seems to back things up as our experience was similar to Guru rudyclub's review from the day before. The quality of the course withstanding the slow play. 5+ hours is just too long for my liking.
Great weather, great course, great company, bluetooth speaker and the beverage cart made slow pace tolerable.
Always a recommend.

Frost delay and recent weather caused some minor issues. Typical winter start on 10 th hole. Course was cart path only and slow play made for a 5+ hour round. But it was a beautiful day. A little cool and breezy, but still a nice typical winter day. Fairways emerald green and lush. Some soggy areas and overall wet, ment little to no roll. Weather and course conditions added playing yardage. Greens were great. Receptive and running a tad over medium pace. Lots of foot prints, but they didn't seem to cause any noticeable issues. On around the 15 hole the Marshall came by and offered a 9 hole return voucher if we wanted to quit and come back another day because they didn't think we would finish. We turned it down and were just able to finish. Over all course is in great shape with fantastic service. Easy recommend.

Played 12/21/2019 at 9am on a cool cloudy day with fog persisting the first four holes. Damp conditions and this first day of winter it was cart path only. Nothing to hide here at this first class Troon operated facility. I made the tee time on-line and received an email confirmation. A day later after another rain storm another email was sent stating that it would be cart path only until 12/24 maybe longer weather dependent. This gave us the chance to modify or cancel if we choose to. I feel this is just good business practice for a golf course that many don't choose to inform. Nice to know before you go, you know! The course under winter conditions and the aforementioned fog had it playing long and damp. Drives would take a bounce but only roll out minimally a few yards or ten at most. A stinger two iron may have helped but not in my bag. The rough was thick and penal under these conditions. Usually could advance shot a ways, but three or more inches and sticky. Low run in approaches to the green were difficult to judge. The greens held well struck shots and rolled well. A finishing touch of the mower around the perimeter edge of the green was not done so some dew was left in these areas. Bunkers damp top surface and fluffy underneath. I couldn't get the feel and left a few in for another go. Given these conditions course still was overall very playable and in above to great condtion. Customer service great as always. From bag drop to check-in, pro shop wait staff and on course workers. The warm hand towel at the 18th green nice touch as they wiped off your clubs. Have played this course a four times this year and it is always consistent upscale experience. We choose to have breakfast and after round in the Cache Creek casino rather than the clubhouse. This resort is on Route 16 and the golf course in the back of the property with only a few farms in view. Otherwise it's foothill views which improved after the 4th hole to almost the sun poking through the clouds. Recommend

This is one well managed and maintained courses in Northern California. When you drop your golf bag off, you are greeted by a smiling face and a good morning greeting. Your golf bag is transported to your cart, which is waiting for you after your check-in and pay for your round. The driving range is one of the best ever. Balls are perfecting stacked and restacked, if necessary. The Driving range is a great place to practice what you will encounter on the course. The first hole is elevated and provide you with a scenery unmatched y any course. From there, the course present you with some challenging situations, requiring you to concentrate and commitment on every shot. Even if you have a bad round, playing this course is awesome. Everything is first class.

I can offer these details. The greens rolled about perfect had just the lightest dressing of fertilizer or sand and were maybe a touch longer therefore a tad slower. Considering the summer heat now and until September they should remain in tip top condition kept this way.

We teed off on the 10th instead of 1st. The starter asked us to use the shoe cleaner before we stepped up to the tee box to remove any possible seeds or debris stuck to our shoes from other courses. Yes Yocha is this nice. Hardly a weed to be found anywhere inside the cart paths. The rough was sticky as an errant strike held quickly in the plush 3" stuff. Hit it in the vineyard once (free drop) and the water hazard twice (penalty's) The fairways are pretty generous so most holes you can give it a go.

Nice touch at the end are the rolled & cooled face cloths they serve you with tongs off of a silver tray to wipe your face. In the winter it's a warm towel. Troon pays attention to detail!

First time here this year and want to be back soon. Always in good shape it is a notch above that right now.

Played here yesterday as part of my GK Cup match with DeepSea14. I've been wanting to get out to this course for a couple of years now and am very glad I finally got the chance to play it. What a great course!! When it comes to Yocha DeHe you here a lot of comments like "best in the area", "Rated top Casino Course" etc. Let me tell you, there is no need to limit the comparison field. This track will hold it's own ANYWHERE! It's that nice. Yes, it's off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. Starting with the fantastic clubhouse/restaurant, you are immediately immersed in a 5 star facility. Locker room has a shower and an actual changing area with some available lockers. Staff is super friendly and helpful from the bag drop to the starter. Course itself is a gem both in layout and condition. With the exception of the first hole which has a super elevated tee box, the rest of the course is fairly flat with only a few slight elevation changes to keep the course interesting. Mixed in are a ton of water features that include both large lakes, forced carries and some small rock waterfalls. Conditions are a solid 9 all the way around. Greens were super smooth and easily held well struck approach shots. Greens were rolling a tad slower than expected but still in within an acceptable range. Fairways were a 9.5-10. Dark green, lush and offered good roll out. Rough was lush and thick. Plus side is the rough held stray shots from going astray but downside was it was easily an extra club. Tee boxes and sand traps were also top notch. Beverage cart came around on a regular basis. Carts are new and luxurios with full GPS in them. Overall this place is a great course and well worth the drive and money. I can't wait to come back and play this track again!

Played Sat 3/9, 9:30am... scramble. Rained most of the front nine. Winds about 1-2 clubs most of the day. Cart Path Only. #14 closed.. they say it was flooded... looks ok now, but I bet the hole is soft and mushy. They let us play #1 twice. The river is flowing high and fast. With all of the rain we've received in the past 6 weeks, this course is in fantastic shape. Only hole 1 was noticeably soft, but looked great. The rest of the course, the fairways were more than playable, with a decent amount of roll. The greens are immaculate, running about a 10.5, and true. The rough is a little high, probably due to not mowing regularly. Cart girl came around 4 or 5 times. We expected the worst with the weather and conditions, and were pleasantly surprised! Had a really good time.

Lead off group 12/15 under cloudy skies with a threat of showers that didn't fall. POP not an issue we were told to not go too fast to avoid maintenance crews but didn't see them. They were blowing leaves on a couple holes but that only helped conditions and the operators gave plenty of room to play through.
Third round in a row here and it's a bit over an hour drive for us. It's great conditions at value pricing for the season. With the excellent service the Troon facility is a 4/5 star golf anytime of year. Every time this year it's consistently been good to great in every rating area.
