I just want to thank everyone who has posted a golf review as of lately. the reviews have been very informative and have been better better than some of the one line reviews from the past or others areas get... people do read these post and your thoughts about the course, staff, clubhouse and such are helpful too.
I know there's many of you who never post on the forums and because of that I just wanted to say to you, THANK YOU.......

- played 9/27 for a tourny there and the course still showed sign's of the sand a bit on the greens from 2 weeks ago. they wouldn't break and putted med speed. the fairways and overall was in great condition. I played here last yr and this yr was better in some ways, however I still wonder how they get so much for this course as there are others in the area that are way better and cost less to play. but it is part private so that may explain it. the clubhouse has a great pro shop, bar, and the dinner there was very good and well done. so for tourny's it has the whole package going with everything. there is more than enough people around to help you and always greete you with a smile and a hello how are you today... from talking to others there the valley course is the one to play, as it has some better holes I guess. the driving range is all grass and well marked, the putting greens are good too, although there quite a ways from the clubhouse and a cart is better to get to and from. overall the course has some great signature holes with ponds and a great risk/rewards for some. so all in all it's a course that is fun to play and has some great holes, but the ones along the freeway are noisey and you get the occasional trucker or car honking there horns which is kind of sad... other than the price is a bit steep as this would be a great place for just alittle less green fees.

Played the tournament course twice, probably won't be going back any time soon. Don't get me wrong, the tournament course is a great layout, but the experience is not. VERY noisy...tournament course is adjacent to HWY 101. The first time I played there, we were on pace for a 5hr 30min round on a weekday, but next thing we know, course staff drives group to group handing out free vouchers for golf, apologizing for the slow play, a VERY cool move on their part. My second time there, finished in under 4 hours, so pace of play is hit and miss here. IMO it's not worth the money.

DO NOT shell out the money for the valley course, it's just an overpriced muni.

AMAZING course. AWFUL EXPERIENCE. 3 DIFFERENT TIMES. Each time (because I love the tournament course so much) I came all the way from Carmel, CA to play Coyote Creek. I kept my hopes up each time thinking "maybe the course and staff just had a bad day...". Unfortunately, I was very disappointed ever time. So bummed about it.

I have never experienced such rude and worthless staff ever. EVER. Not polite, not cordial. With various interactions I walked away feeling as though it was the greatest inconvenience for them to get me a cart, give me range balls, sell me balls, and in general-be in the pro shop. I've worked at country clubs, and have never given them any reason to be so awful.

PACE OF PLAY was the worst in all my golfing rounds. I've had to leave the course twice because we couldn't finish. We started with plenty of time left to play.

It sickens me to think that a course designed by someone like Jack Nicklaus could be so overpriced for so little product. But... d%mn I love that course. Too bad the tee times are so stacked and the staff is so horrible. It was quite shocking.

Not at all worth the money...if you want to splurge for a Nicklaus course, go ahead...you'll like the course, but don't expect anything else.

Played on 3/7/07. Lucky enough to take a day off mid week and play. Got a 2 for 1 coupon at the norcal golf expo, so it made this course a good deal. The tournament course is much better than the valley course. You wind through the hills a bit which provides some interesting holes. The greens were in great shape - fast smooth and undulating. The fairways were also good. The bunkers were racked and soft. Overall this is a great course. But, the price without a discount is pretty steep. I would play this course a lot, if I lived in the south bay and the price was cheaper. But, this is a course you should play at least once.

Great track, the only problem is the freeway noise can be excessive just depends on what time of the day or day of the week you play. Wind can change the course completely.

Great course! Very well taken care of. Course will challenge, but not overwelm you. I enjoyed the wide fairways and rolling greens. GPS is a nice addition and for the average golfer was relatively accurate. The staff was friendly and professional. It's a little on the expensive side and one drawback is the freeway right next to you. I would definintely recommend it and always look forward to playing there.

The Tournament course is a blast. It's a Jack Nicklaus design with lots of risk/reward opportunities and unfortunately, lots of opportunities to lose balls. The tee shot is generally forgiving, with wide open fairways so you can "grip it and rip it", but the approach shots make you think think think about where you can afford to miss. You're often shooting into greens with nearby trees/sand/ob/deep rough/steep fall-offs plus or minus a forced carry over a creek. If you can play on weekdays, they often have an all-you-can-play and all-you-can-eat deal which for $90 is a great bargain.

excellent track. greens are some of the best in the bay area. tournament couse. par 5 #3 design is a little poor. if you hit a 250-260 yard drive from the blues, you still have to lay up short of the creek with around a 210 yard approach shot uphill usually into the wind. bad design for the #3 hole. however the rest of the course is an excellent design and every hole is different.

as for the valley course it is a good track that is user friendly. flatter, however the greens are very tough and pin placements are usually difficult. not a good as the tournament but still is fun to play and holds its own.

I was up in the Bay Area a few weeks back and went to play this course. The course is located adjacent to the freeway, and the traffic noise was so loud we decided to play elsewhere. It may be a nice course, but since we didn't play, I can't comment on course conditions. If you're looking for peace and tranquility on the golf course, go elsewhere.
