Beautiful course with arguably one of the best finishing holes in golf. Right along the Pacific Ocean with the Ritz Carlton in the back drop. Couldn't be better. Of the two courses at Half Moon Bay I would say the Old course is not as nice as the Ocean course. The tee boxes had a lot more divots in them and the sand traps could use more sand. Otherwise the greens on both courses are 100% the best greens in the Bay Area. The fairways and rough are also impeccable. The course reminds me a lot of Eagle Ridge, winding through the neighborhoods, except I think it is a little tighter than Eagle Ridge. Definitely the more challenging of the two courses at Half Moon Bay. If you get on the e-mail list, this course is worth every penny with the deals they give. Both courses have their own distinct personality and I would highly recommend playing both courses. You won't regret it.
