Played Gabilan last Saturday, 7/19. Completely fogged in at 8:00am. By the 10:00am tee time, the sun came out and was 69 degrees. Got lucky with the weather.

Judging by the 1st hole (parallel to the driving range), you would think there is some promise here. 60 yr wide fair way, 362 yards straight away, a nice easy start.

It doesn't get too much different, quite a few straight holes, with 3 dogleg left and 3 dogleg right holes mixed it. Greens very bumpy and can't tell why except maybe the grass. Nothing memorable. Except trying to find the 11th hole, you have to drive on the main street until turn into the driveway, had to ask 2 people.

Lastly, the homes are built so close to the fairway, you can't miss by far. Beware. No wonder I saw so many forclosures.

If you can play the Diablo, I would guess it is better, but it is mostly private I was told.

I won't go back. 2- 55 minute drives for me wasted the day.
