The Cleveland HiBORE XL driver features a special geometry that moves weight lower and deeper into the clubhead, optimizing the center of gravity (CG) location for ideal launch conditions. For maximum ball speed, the XL has a larger sweet spot compared to traditional large-volume drivers and, paired with the deep CG, its high moment of inertia increases stability on off-center hits. The result? Greater overall distance and tighter shot dispersion over the entire face.

Hibore XL - Thanks Craig
Wednesday July 30, 2008
i was using an old Taylor Made 320 stiff shaft with 8.5 degree loft. I had many years of success with it, but I knew it must go as it was outdated technology. After "tying" or should I say "borrowing" other players drivers I finally found the XL. The odd shape did not bother me at all. The head is much bigger, the shaft lighter and best of all - it has a low kick point. To see where the kick point is on your driver grip it on the top of the grip, put the head on the ground and push down to see where the shaft bends. The 9.5 degree loft is perfect for me and the club is easy to work the ball. Also, I can take something off it (for accuracy) or can add a little extra when needed. Best of all I purchased it "experienced" but in excellent condition at a local golf shop for 1/2 price of a new one.

Good Driver

This is an awesome driver. I was using the Big Bertha forever and when I switched to the HiBore XL, I immediately loved the results. I highly recommend trying this one out.

Pounding This Driver
Friday June 6, 2008
I picked up this driver used based on the positive posts about it on Greenskeeper.org and I'm extremely pleased! I nail this driver longer and straighter then any driver I have used. It's an animal. I love the thin top-line of the club which allows me to quickly see where my clubface is aimed. I'm hitting an 8.5 degree equipped with a stiff flex60g shaft by Fujikura. Also, I dig the "E-Z Grab" Headcover. The only negative is sometimes it rattles my eardrums - of course that's when I really nail it and my ear pain is quickly replaced by the good feeling of a bombed drive. JohnnyGK is back in the hunt for the LD's at our outings boys.

HiBORE XL UST ProForce V2 X-Stiff 9.5*
Thursday April 3, 2008
This driver is amazing, it gives you so much roll after your drives increasing your overall driving average. Since the club is a lot bigger (you have to get used to playing a larger club head) you must TEE THE BALL HIGHER to get the topspin and reduce the RPMs. A had this club on a launch monitor and it gave me great spin at around 2000 to 2500 RPMs and launching between 12.5 to 14.5*. The combination of these values really optimizes the carry and roll on your drives. Since the inception introducing this club to my bag, I'm driving the ball long and "mis-hits" are a misnomer with this club since I still get around 250 yds on these so called mi sh$t s. My average has increased about 10-15 yds with a carry of about 270 and getting around 25 to 35 yds of roll. Great club and highly recommended!

Cleveland Hi-Bore is a game changer
Monday August 27, 2007
This driver has completely changed my game. I used to tee off with a three wood, and now use the driver whenever I can. Distance is great (I'm about an 18 handicapper, so a 250 yard drive is good for me) but the best feature is forgiveness. Off center hits will often still be just into the rough and playable. It gets the ball airborn very easily and does not need to be teed high up. My friends call it my cheating club because it performs so well.
