Having won the Golf Digest Editor's Choice for drivers in 2006, it was no doubt a challenge to improve on the original all titanium SasQuatch driver. What made the original great, makes the new SasQuatch Sumo even better - a new NIKE PowerBow geometry results in a higher MOI of 4950g cm2 vs. 4650g cm2. Therefore, SasQuatch Sumo delivers even more distance and forgiveness.

Sasquatch Sumo 460

I like the lower center of gravity. This is designed to be hit in the middle of the face, not high on the face like most older (and some new) 460 cc drivers.

This is an all-titanium clubhead. I plan to hang onto it a while and was concerned about the durability of composite drivers.

I have the regular diamana shaft. With many experts saying most golfers are hitting shafts that are too stiff, I thought I would give a regular shaft a try. So far so good.

I've been reading a few concerns about the loudness of the club. I didn't even notice it.

I should mention, this wasn't my first choice, but the price was right. This club is a major upgrade from my old TM 540. I have no complaints.

I rated this a 4 on accuracy and forgiveness, assuming the SUMO2 is probably a little better in those apsects. I am willing to give up a few yards for improved driving accuracy, but I just didn't feel comfortable with the clunky square head.

I never really cared for Nike Drivers. Until now.
This club is great with the Aldila VS Proto By You 65S shaft (no upcharge!). I've found it to be enormously forgiving (meaning I can go after it more) while at the same time having enough feel and touch to work the ball. Easy trajectory control, and not $500. Loud, sure! But not nearly as loud as the Sumo2 or the Cobra LD.

It's a solid stick.
