The TaylorMade Golf Tour Burner Driver has a dual crown made of steel, and the weighted power-base promotes increased distance. The lower and precision-placed center of gravity offers a higher launch angle and lower spin, while the SuperFast Technology gives increased swing speed.
Demo Day--- Loved It As Much as any Club I've Ever Hit
Saturday August 23, 2008
Well today was Demo Day and luckily I cracked my driver in the round before-hand. This club got me excited on every swing. It looks beautiful but not too flashy which is a really good balance. This club was the second best in terms of distance, only 3-5 yards shorter than the Cobra Speed-F. For me it was the most consistent by far and it has a wonderful feel off the clubface. A very forgiving club that also allows a slight amount of shot-making. First on my list to buy, just waiting for the price to come down.
I have had the Tour Burner TP 10.5 stiff shaft for 5 weeks. In my 1st round I hit all but 1 fairway. This is the most forgiving and accurate driver I have ever hit. This is a great club to try. I tried it at a Demo Day which is a great why to find the one for you. The only thing is the price tag 500.00 to 600.00 for the "TP" but hitting lots of fairways is a great payoff. It might not be as long as my older R7 TP but its not far behind. Plus hitting about 75% or better of the fairway is worth it. Try it you'll like it.
I own the burner that came out about two years ago. And this model far out plays the older model. The sperated crown design might bother some players but i absolutely love it. they eliminated the excess graphics that the older model had. I can bomb this driver the same distance as the old one, but with a lower trajectory. Mine is a 9.5 degree with a stiff shaft. Some people may shy away from the $399.00 price tag but don't, you will not be sorry. I tried the cbx but i never was real crazy about the adjustable weights. And the huge price tag really puts a downer on this product.
