Callaway FT-5 Driver with Graphite Shaft: The new FT-5 Driver is the latest evolution in clubhead design, utilizing Callaway s revolutionary Fusion Technology. A massive 50 grams of discretionary weight has been created using a Carbon Fiber Body - creating the OptiFit Weighting System that produces the perfect center of gravity position for any particular player. The larger, hotter CT/VFT Titanium cup face is designed to the legal limit, resulting in increased ball speed, distance and forgiveness - even on miss-hits. Carbon Composite Body Lighter than titanium, this construction improves stability and distance. Carbon Composite Body The material used to make the body is significantly lighter than titanium, allowing Callaway Golf engineers to move 50 grams of discretionary weight where it is needed most, resulting in better stability and distance.

Finally a Driver I hit Straight
Sunday December 6, 2009
Picked up for $119 at Dunn's Orange County Sale. Love it, straighter off the tee, good roll added 20+ yards to my drive.

FT-5 WOW!
Tuesday April 1, 2008
I picked up an FT-5 at a used sporting goods store last week for a trial. I'll be keeping it! I used it for the first time this weekend, and loved it. They had a 10* draw model there, and since I fight a fade anyway . . and have been wanting to try a draw bias clubface I figured what the heck. Glad I did. This straightened out my drives on every hole but 1 . . and added considerable distance. I didn't measure my drives, but it was a course I play pretty regularly, and I was a good 20-30 yards ahead of where my drives normally play from. I couldn't argue with the price . . about 1/3 of what new costs, and the appearance is great. The sound took a little bit of getting used to . .it's more of a klack than a ting which I got with my old driver. But when they're hit . . they're HIT! I loved my initial experience with this driver.

Callaway FT-5 Great Driver
Tuesday November 20, 2007
I had problems with my old driver and was fighting for over three months to correct it... finally gave up! I bought this driver FT-5 after searching for several weeks. This driver is about $100 more than typical drivers such as Burner or Hi-Bore. I had a good deal and able to purchase it for less than $350 including taxes.
I have been using this driver for about four rounds and it brought back my confidence. I still have some work to do but the driver is really forgiving. Very Forgiving and the Sound is Awesome. Whether you had a good hit or not, it stills sound so good. Sound like you ball go for miles. That's why I only gave 4 for the Distance. You thought you hit a 300yd drive but it didn't. I am not complaining. Just that it felt so good hitting your driver and expecting you will have great distance but it didn't. My feeling raised the my expectation.
I love the driver. This driver is BUY!

FT-5 Not a gimmick
Friday October 5, 2007
So I had a Burner (hit too high) traded it for a Sumo (nice, but inconsistent), and then traded that back in for the Burner (figuring I'd just live with it). After a round with the burner where I was outdriven by 20-30 yards due to the loack of roll out, I got an FT-5 Draw in 9 degree. Preliminary results are encouraging. It seems to have a little more carry distance for me than the Burner, but it also has noticeably more roll out. More than any driver I've owned.

The sound and feel are different. That is an issue for some. Personally, I like the solid feeling. The ball seems

I really love this driver now. I went on a golf week and rented 6 different sets from all major manufacturers. all are horriblr compared to this one.
I demoed the driver at three different places along with 5 other drivers. Cleveland's new best was a close second. I shot 10 or more balls with each of the drivers and had to try the different adjustments. draw, neutral, 9, 10, 11, high loft, etc and dialed it in at 11* and draw. On the simulator I found it hard to miss going straight unless I miss hit awfully. In real life I will still get one right slice on 18 but almost impossible to miss straight and long if you think about it before you swing. I swing at about 85 MPH and hit 210 carry with almost every shot. Scary to pay that much for any golf club but after hitting all of the Taylor mades and titelists and clevelands and nikes and adams and a few others I really love this one. tried the FTi also and found no difference. the golf pro could get about 20 yards more with the FTi, but I don't hit hard enough to matter for the $100 difference. Best club in the bag!

ft-5 is awesome
Friday August 31, 2007
I demoed a FT-5 a couple weeks ago and immediately went out to buy one. I hit the ball dead straight every time. The first time I played it I hit more fairways than I ever had and hit the ball with a 9.5* as far, but more consistently, as with my current 7*. Great Club
