ftiq from ft-5
Monday June 8, 2009
had the ft5 and it usually took care of my slice.
It was 10 degree draw after I had returned 11 degree draw. Still a great club, but the FT-IQ is a whole lot straighter.
This club has draw designed in and has cut my slice to minimal and the tour version is neutral they say. I tried it in the shop and it would not fail.
the club hits very straight. hit off the heel, at the shaft connection and it almost goes straight. from 90 percent of the face it goes where it's pointed.
To play draw you point it to where you want the ball to go and change your line up and it goes.
FT-9 is probably easier to create shapes. But for amatuer that wants straight and forgiving...best choice.
Spendy, but I bought it during sale of $1 for a Squareway (matching) 3 wood so it justifies the price. it took 4 rounds to get accustomed to the different way to hit the driver. seems like the face is flatter and the face is lower profile. But now distance is very good and straight is great.
