Note: Proforce V2 shaft option indicates the HL (High Launch) model Ping G10 Driver : Using finite element analysis (FEA) driven by a Cray Supercomputer, Ping engineers optimized the G10 driver s crown, sole and face structure interaction to ensure maximum energy transfer to the ball. The 460cc driver features a larger profile with a taller face and deeper crown that produces a higher MOI ( moment of inertia ) for greater forgiveness and increased ball velocity. Thinner crown and face designs provided discretionary weight which is positioned inside the club head to lower the CG ( center of gravity ) for reduced spin and higher launch. Features: Larger perimeter head size increases MOI Taller face profile and deeper crown maximize ball velocity Thin, variable face geometry Internal weight pad positions CG for low spin and high launch Ping -designed TFC 129D shaft

Purchased This In Dec 2011
Saturday January 14, 2012
I had been looking for a new driver to replace my Cobra driver bought in 2005/06. I decided on the 10.5 draw and am very pleased with the results. Even though it is 10.5 it consistently provides mid flight vs high flight, resulting in greater roll upon landing. Something I did not get from my old driver. Even though I have never been able to hit a draw, I am able to obtain a slight draw with this club, which with the low ball flight and spin, has dramatically increased my distance by as much as 30 yards. Needless to say, I am very happy with the results after numerous rounds, not only at my regular course but several others as well. The combination of 460cc head; UST shaft with low torgue; design of the club head provides me the distance and feel I have been looking for from a driver. Do not know if it will work as well for anyone else, but I feel that it most likely will.

There are a lot better drivers out there than this one. It sounds tinny and if you don't hit the sweet spot you may as well hit persimmon

Great Deal!
Friday July 31, 2009
Picked this thing up since they are on close out and couldn't be happier. Distance is as long as anything else out there. Sound is muted which is nice considering most of the Driver's out there have a very loud and annoying ping. Feel is great. Appearance I give a 4 because the alignment aid is very odd. Otherwise great looking and performing driver. I don't think there is a better deal out there right now.

LONG!
Tuesday January 20, 2009
I snaped the shaft on my cobra 3 times the last time the head went flying and landed on the fart path and scuffed the top. Since I'm a Titleist guy i went and tried the 907D2 and other drivers. Then the G10 came into my hands I was hitting this driver straight and long but had to work it to get it straight keep in mind it was off the rack. So I got fitted by Ping with my golf swing. I got the driver in the mail two weeks later 9* stiff very low kick point and a spined shaft. This driver has taken me from a 8 handcap to a 3 with just the distance i have gained. Next time you buy a driver get fitted dont just buy it off the rack it will make a big diffrence. The only complain i have is the head cover. Very nice looking cover but its to short it need a sock to protect the shaft.

I agree with Foos!!!
Thursday August 28, 2008
After reading Foos review, I had to try this driver, so I ran over to Roger Dunn and bought one. It really is unbelievable! After warming up at the range, I was carrying my drives between 290 and 300 yards. Like Foos, that was just an easy swing also. It is so easy to move the ball in a draw or a fade with a 1/2 to 1 yard fade in either direction. The sweet spot is huge on this thing. I think I hit one off the shaft and it still carried 240. I might have to go buy another one, just in case they discontinue this model.

This Driver is Amazing!
Wednesday August 27, 2008
I grabbed a brand new 9° regular flex at a liquidation sale for $179.00 and took it to the range. Once I got warmed up I was carrying 240-260 with my swing at 80%. The ball was either straight, straight with a 1yd fade, or straight with a 1yd draw. In order to slice or hook the ball (I was trying for a few minutes) I needed to hit right off the tip of the toe or outside the heel (there's no club that will go straight at that kind of an impact). I can hit slices or hooks depending on the day of the week I'm swinging. This club turned those into pushes and pulls. It seems like with an outside to inside swing I was putting neutral spin on the ball which would keep it straight but heading a little right of my target. They got the groove pattern absolutely right and hits from the sweet spot are long, straight, and roll for 40 yards after the carry. I was actually carrying the range completely with my 100% 90ish mph swing. This is not something I could do with the other drivers I've tried. I'm wondering what I could do with a stiff shaft on this baby. Try this club now!

Demo Day--- Least Favorite
Saturday August 23, 2008
Well today after only about fifteen swings I decided this was not the club for me. It did not seem as forgiving to me, a slicer, as other clubs. The others I was hitting straight which I normally can't do. For some reason I couldn't with this club. I even tried swinging my old driver, although cracked, and couldn't hit it straight. Basically while the others straightened me out, the Ping did not. However it looks fantastic and very pleasing at address. You will have to try it for yourself.

Nice Stick
Tuesday August 5, 2008
I just bought this driver the other day after trying several different models, including the TaylorMade Burner and Cleveland XLS. The most impressive point about the G10 is how straight it hit the ball. Shot after shot went straight with little movement left or right, even miss-hits. I wasn't able to that with the other drivers I tried.

The club has a strong, solid address with a traditional look and a subtle ball alignment on the top of the club--I think it's a very good-looking driver. I also like the feel when you hit it in the sweet spot--solid and sure.

The distance is quite good--I'm hitting the ball about 15 yards further that my old driver (a TaylorMade R5), but I think this is partly due to the higher loft, 10.5 compared to 8.5 with my old driver.

After three rounds, I'm much more confident with the big stick and now look forward to each par four or five tee shot. If you're in the market for a new driver, give this one a try--this is one very nice stick!

Sorry Ping.....
Friday June 20, 2008
I was asked the other day while my bag with all my other pings doesn't have a new G-10 in it. so I went to the fitter at the range and got one to hit... while the look is good and the distance was good, the FEEL wasn't there. it was a quite sound no crisp ping or ding sound and I felt like I couldn't feel the head hit the ball. it did everything right for the most part, the ball flight and all that stuff. it just didn't give me any feedback while hitting the ball. lots of times if I miss hit a drive I know before I even look up that it wasn't right, I had no feel like that with this one. so I asked the guy next to me to hit it also, as his swing was good. he too said the same thing that it felt dead. now the golf fitter said its the stock shaft that makes it feel that way and an upgrade might be better. PS, he uses all ping stuff too, and he said there G5 and G2 were better in his opion. I love pings, but this driver for me didn't make me want to add it to my bag just on feel alone...

Great Club!
Saturday June 14, 2008
I was able to try this club on the golf course. My husband has the 9 degree stiff shaft. I decided to try it and I loved it. I use to hit a Titleist and Taylormade and this one by far was more forgiving. Even on miss hits it still had good distance that I did not have with the other drivers. I love the look of the driver, the feel and knowing I'm going to hit the driver well every time I step on the tee box. Like buckeyebob, this driver is staying in my bag.

Tried the Highbore XLS/Draw, Cobra LD/M Offset, but none of them compare to the distance, accuracy and feel of this driver.
Very traditional look and profile on setup. this one has found a permanent home in my bag!

The Club That Fit Me the Best
Monday April 28, 2008
I did a club fitting for new woods using the trackman computer fitting system. I hit all the top 5 brand name clubs. After we found the right shaft and loft for the club head. (9 degree Draw bias, stiff shaft). This club outperformed all others. Even some slightly off center and high on the face shots still got out there well. My numbers for launch angle and spin rate were the best for this club over any others. Now that i have played with it a while, I have gotten 20-30 yards more length without sacrificing accuracy. My recommendation is to go through a club fitting to find what is the right club for you.

Best I tested
Sunday December 30, 2007
During a demo at the driving range, I tried several clubs including Callaway, Titleist, Burner, Taylormade. The ball seemed to jump off the club face like none of the other clubs. I really like the appearance. It is very simple and traditional appearing when you stand over the ball. Very forgiving too. Great club!
