I've been without a 3Wood for quite some time and finally pulled the trigger and got the Burner Tour with Graphite. First, this this is really nicely built. Still very classic in style (cool little burner alignment) and has a great feel in my hands. The stock shaft is flexible (regular stiffness) yet not whippy. Keep your mind on tempo. Set up for the Tour Preferred seems slightly closed at address. Actually pretty cool in that that is OK for my eyes.
Impact on the head is amazing! Nice sound and the ball simply takes off like a guided missile. In good hands, can shape shots left or right, low, or high, very, very nice. Distance was excellent ~200 - 220 stone cold off the tee. Hit off the deck was nice, low screamer with a draw. Price/Value for me was a 10... paid with amex points, so it cost me NADA out of pocket! I gave it a 4 on accuracy & forgiveness as a mi sh$t will send the ball WAY away from you, and probably a lost ball. In better hands this would be a skin magnet. | ||||||||||||
