The CG Gold is an all-ability iron perfect for the player who wants to maximize forgiveness while still maintaining a solid feel in a traditional head design.

Feel
Gelback, Cleveland Golf's lightweight, visco-elastic, vibration-damping material, is placed directly behind the hitting area of the clubface in the back cavity. Gelback is vibration-tuned to remove unwanted vibration on mis-hits while still allowing the player necessary feedback from the clubhead for a soft yet responsive feel.

Forgiveness
Next generation Micro-Cavity Technology (MCT) provides better stability and more forgiveness by removing weight from the topline and redistributing it to the extreme perimeters of the clubhead. By redistributing 10 grams low and deep, the center of gravity is improved by 15%, adding stability to off-center hits. This translates into a larger sweet spot for more consistent and accurate shots.

Fit
Correctly fitting a set of irons to the player is essential for optimal performance. The set may be further dialed-in using color-coded hosel markings that denote if the lie angle is flat, standard or upright.

- Bottom = Flat - Middle = Standard
- Top = Upright

Player Profile
The CG Gold is an all-ability iron perfect for the player who wants to maximize forgiveness while still maintaining a solid feel in a traditional head design. High and low handicappers alike are drawn to this club's performance. Gelback Technology provides a soft feel even on mis-hits while Micro-Cavity Technology (MCT) improves the center of gravity for stability and control.

Not what I expected

I have played TA5 irons for the last 5 years and figured since I liked them I would love the Golds. Unfortunately, the irons just didn't seem to be as forgiving as my TA5s and I felt like I couldn't dial in my distances. I have opted for the Ping G10s. They are more forgiving and seem to give me a little extra distance.

Feel like butter yo

I have had these irons for three months now, and I will have them a long long time. They have a slight offset, but they are workable anytime you need them to be. These irons look great and they feel better than great. I bought the TM R7 had them 90 days and returned them to RD for these in June. The R7's are great clubs too but, the yardages varied too much with the same club. These Clevelands are consistently the same yardage, and are very forgiving. If you pure it (easy to do) the feeling is gel perfect. I purchased the 4-PW for 529.00. Then completed the set with HYbrids. Shot the best round of my life with these irons two weeks after I got them.
