Mizuno Golf MP-57 Iron Set with Steel Shafts : The Mizuno MP-57 irons are a crowning achievement in the evolution of Mizuno s award winning Grain Flow Forging and Cut Muscle technologies. The Product Development team undertook the task of making the MP-57 s the first MP iron with a full cavity, resulting in a significantly larger sweet area than any other iron in the history of the MP line. Along with increased forgiveness, the MP-57 s with Cut Muscle technology will deliver the feel and shot making ability that MP iron players crave. Most importantly, the MP-57 s deliver all these playing aspects, yet in a classic head profile that appeals to the better players.

MP 57 for a 7 index

I've had these irons for about a year and half now and they're great. Tour workability and a mid handicap forgiveness.

MP 57 for a 9 index
Friday August 14, 2009
These clubs have taken 4 strokes off my rounds. I used to play with MP 32's. The MP 32's have more playability than MP 52's but lack the forgiveness. I am especially impressed with the forgiveness of the 3, 4, and 5 irons. I went on a launch monitor and was averaging about 10 extra yards. I love the low profile "blade" like look as well.

MP 57 - from graphite to Rife shafts
Friday October 3, 2008
I've had these Mizuno MP 57's two months now and am getting comfortable with the clubs, but the big adjustment is the different shafts. If you've played graphite and switch to steel, you can expect more exact feel when striking the ball. I miss the extra flex the graphite gave me (1 club distance) but I find the control of the steel shaft by far makes my game more precise ... building confidence when any mid to long distance iron shot comes my way. Helped me lower my index considerably. Recommended to someone with a consistent swing who can hit their targets.

MP 57 for a 12 Hdcp

Traded a set of orig Big bertha irons I had played for years. Absolutely love the new sticks. Look and feel great. Forgiving enough and make you want to hit good shots. Straight and very nice, high trajectory with the project X 5.0 shafts. Recommend getting fitted first for lie, flex etc. Project shafts play a little stiffer than true temper. 5.0 is like a regular plus. Great irons!!

It is What it is

If you have a low-mid index and hit solid shots consistantly you could not purchase a better club. The lofts are traditional and the offset is minimal. You get out of the shot what you put into it. If you like to practice, feedback from this club will make you a better golfer. Yes it is possible to draw or fade high lofted clubs.
I narrowed my choice down to the Callaway X20 Tour, Taylor Made R7 Tour and the MP-57. It was a tough call however I could not break away from a forged iron. I have had these clubs for two months and I am convinced the MP-57 irons will help take me to the level of golfer that I want to be.
