Every now and then I would pick up a dozen Nike Platinums. They were great however the ball flight was a little too high for my game. My buddy suggested I try the blacks. The only noticeable difference is the trajectory, it is slightly lower. They are both long, spin well, and putt smoothly. And they both are by the most durable balls I have played. Great ball however price tag is a downer but it is still worth it.
I've played a few rounds with this ball and so far so good. Spin from 30-100 yards out is very manageable. Feels good off the driver, may not be as long, but 2-3 yards loss is not bad for control around the green. Solid ball, not sure if I would pay $45 for them instead of Pro V1x.
I have played these for three rounds and may be early to review but I do like the way they have performed. Nice off the tee, seem to fly pretty straight (forgiving) I like the way they feel off the irons and they putt well. the jury is still out for a true spin around the greens verdict. Need a few more rounds and will re-visit the reviews. Ball shows a little wear per round but I feel It could go another 18 holes before going into the practice bin.
