I recently purchased the LR550 on E-bay. After using the LR550 rangefinder for a few rounds, made sense to me to protect it not from the elements but just in case I accidentally drop in on the cart path, parking lot surfaces or even dropped somewhere in the golf cart..I have seen & used other units that come with the neoprene type covering. However, I PREFER the rubber skin that fits perfectly like a glove over the LR550 it was designed for! Plus the rubber grip ensures more durability protection. I opted for the natural clear cover since my pre-owned LR550 is white in color. If you $pent over $200 for the LR550, makes sense to me to $pend a little extra money and protect it for years to come.
