Nice upgrades over the original

After owning the Garmin S1 and selling it to another family member, I decided to buy a S3 for myself. First of all, it is a very nice looking digital watch, and it looks good on and off the golf course. I opted to buy it in black.
I found the watch easy enough to use, although clearing it out of lock mode is a pain once in a while. I enjoyed the new features such as setting the pin position and layup distances. Battery life seems to be a little better than the S1, but you are not getting more two rounds between charges. Overall, if you are looking to pick up a GPS golf watch, I would recommend spending the money on this one. | ||||||||

I decided to make the S3 over the S1 due to world wide courses on the watch, if you go for S1 it will be North USA or if you are in Europe, courses over here.
The gps on the watch is great, the one thing id say is that you must remember to charge the watch up, you will get 2 rounds from the gps on the watch. The watch gives you good lay up distances and front middle back green distances, and if you know the pin position you can use te green view feature to place the pin to get a yardaage, well roughly to help with approach shots. you can lock the phone so you can only read your distances and it also has a measure function to work your Bubba Drive out !! The only 2 Things i would say are, its a bit bulky and the battery does need charged up. As for the price, Garmin watches do hold a gd price in all retailers but im very happy with it and i would say go for it to anyone who is just needing the nod .... | ||||||||
