It has been awhile since we visited Redhawk and pleasantly surprised on how well the course played. Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. Practice facility was ok. Mats at the driving range, and 2 practice greens where we chipped and putt while waiting for out slot. Tee sheet was full and we were given carts 10 minutes before tee time. Carts had no GPS - good thing we had a greens book. Also, we were joined by 2 singles, one of whom had a lot of course knowledge he shared with us. Thanks Dennis

Course has some very interesting and memorable holes and the par 3s were a lot of fun.
Some tee boxes must not have been mowed as grass was a bit longer than normal. Fairways decent with some area bare but overall playable. Rough was tough as some areas are overgrown and deep grass. Best part are the greens. Very challenging with multi-tiered greens that are hard to figure out. Greens run medium speed.

Given the number of people on the course, we were lucky to finish just a little over 4 hours. Some waiting here and there but can't complain for a Sunday afternoon round.

Highly recommended.

Played last weekend and wondering what happened to the golf course. This used to be a premier golf course but now, greens were patched up here and there. Bunkers with less than ideal amount of sand. The driving range mats are all worn out. Practice greens still pretty good. And staff were very nice. Starter was awesome. And the carts were very nice and comfy. There was hardly anyone on when we played so we finished in under 4 hours.

Course is still playable and we enjoyed our round but given the stature of course, it is below expectations.
I get that they are pouring a lot of resources in redeveloping the Champions course for the NCAA event next year but wished they put some attention to Legends as well.

Just aerated the greens.

The course is undergoing renovations - bunkers all being redone. Temporary greens on a few holes. I would not recommend playing at this time.

First time playing here after the redesign by Tiger in 2021. Course looks great. Old check in shack is gone. They added a new building across the street that houses a small proshop and teaching facility.

Took the kids to play 10/8, my junior played 10/9. Check-in was fast. And starter was super nice.
Greens were very well maintained. Smooth and fast. Totally different course from previous. Some greens can be really tricky and landing in the wrong spot can make a good shot run off the green.

Rough is super tough. Heavy stuff. Bunkers were so so. My son got in one and was hardly any sand. We played off mats the first day and the juniors had an event the 2nd day off the turf. Oh and El Tigre was there too which was a big bonus.

Overall, a fun short course for the kids. Definitely a must if you are in the area. Green fees a bit stiff but hey, you are in PB.

One of the special places here in OC that we've come to enjoy over the years. The spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean in forefront and the nice breeze always makes it a enjoyable round. And the unique course with one of the best finishing hole makes it a memorable day.

Check in was super easy. Carts already lined up with your start time.
Hit the range to warm up. Today, we were hitting from the grass.

A few minutes before tee time, you were handed the keys to the cart. And off we go.

Conditions on the course were great. Tee boxes and fairways lush. There were a lot of unfilled divots on the course and I landed in a few myself.

Greens were receptive and running around 10.5 and require precise approach to proper tier to score well. Unfortunately, I didn't do that. Greens were actually micro punched but barely noticed it and few putt were affected by them.

Pace was slow and the player assistance approached us to let us know that we are behind and I explained that it was not us but groups in front. He acknowledge the fact that we were actually waiting to hit our shots.

Such a fun day out here and certainly will be back sooner than later.

Trekked down to San Diego and first time playing Coronado. No frills golf right next to Coronado bay. Tee sheet was packed but pace was a little over 4 1/2 hours. Had to wait on each shot but not too bad. Played with a 2some who drove the ball far and fun to play with.

Green conditions were great. Semi-fast to make it interesting but not too difficult as to frustrate us. The rest of the course was just so-so. Some bare spots on fairways, unfilled divots. Bunker had a thin film of sand just enough to get the club thru to splash out the ball.

Staff was hit or miss. Proshop person was there to do the job and nothing else. Took my $ and done. Starter on the other hand was super friendly. Chatted a bit. Beverage cart was around a few times but it was cloudy and chilly so didnt need anything.

They have a nice looking restaurant next to the clubhouse. Would have tried to eat there had it not for the late finish.

Overall, had a fun experience. Certainly will be back if in the area.

They are punching the greens starting today.

Review from weekend play. Course in good condition. Greens hard as rock. Medium fast. Fairways decent coverage. Lots of unfilled divot. Rough is mowed down. Tee areas level with plenty of coverage.

The place was packed and pace of play was super slow. Waited on every shot.

Other than that, course is always fun to play. Different shots required on each hole.
Driving range was mats - although they rotate grass to mats at times.
Nice practice area with chipping area and bunker practice as well a nice putting area.

Highly recommend to play. Not recommended to join.

Part of the GK group that played last Sunday. Weather was nice with a little breeze. Checked in was quick and easy. Headed to the driving range and was surprised with mats. While it didn't bother me, it would have been nice to be hitting off grass. They also have nice practice greens. Carts were a bit outdated and felt it was going to give out on us during the round with rattling noise every so often. No GPS on them either.

Course was in great shape. Like the course a lot and would be playing it more often if it was closer to us. Greens were amazing. Medium fast speed and rolled true. Held approach shots well. There was 1 green that was abnormal but other than than - perfect.

18th hole is one of the nicest finishing holes and certainly can give something to think about on the tee and approach shot.

We had a great time playing in with Keith and David. Certainly fun day at the Goose.

It has been a few years since we have visited this course. Brings back good memories as the course is as much fun as it was it was challenging.

Located inside a gated community, we went thru security check. Once cleared, headed to course and passed the driving range as you enter the parking lot. Carts come roaring by asking if we wanted our bags taken to the staging area or if we wanted to hit the driving range first. Staff had a couple of carts shuttling players back and forth the range. Was a bit underwhelm with the driving range as it was mats and there was no decent way to put tees for drivers.

Snack bar called Jack;s den was pretty nice and certainly a unique feature for this course. Hint - on the designer of the course...

The layout of the course is fantastic. Every hole is a unique experience. Lots of elevation changes. Most memorable are the par 3 (10 and 17) for me.

Conditions. Greens were perfect. Green and smooth. No blemishes and the best I've seen in awhile. Such a challenge as well.
Fairways are brown winter conditions but plays well.
Bunkers were hit and miss. There were a few with very thin layer of sand, while others have enough to get a splash out.

Carts are comfortable and has interactive GPS in them which is quite a treat.

Overall, such a fun course and highly recommended. Thank you GK for setting this up.

It has been awhile since playing here and as usual, the greens are fast and well maintained. Course conditions are generally decent and overall enjoyable. Added bonus was that there was plenty of sand in the bunkers and that was certainly a welcome surprise.

Check in was quick and efficient. Friendly staff.

Started at 3pm and finished 9 at 5:30 which I consider pretty decent POP here.

Certainly a fun day at my local course and definitely will be back.

From all the reviews at Gk, I have always wanted to come out but never had a chance until last Sunday. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite course now.

Practice area is impressive. Chipping area is one of nicest. Large putting green with undulations.

Teed off on time. Starter gave us a brief intro about the holes and off we went.

Good mix of holes.
Conditions were good. Greens were medium speed and rolled true.

Carts have no GPS and they don't allow to single rider for carts even if you are willing to pay extra. One of our group wanted to ride by himself and he did not get an option to do so.

Definitely worth going back.

Eldo is a fun tract to play locally. Course is fair and offers a lot of challenge.

Greens were super fast and fun to putt. There were some bumpy areas but for the most part, rolled true.

Practice areas are now open and lots of people using them.

Checkin was smooth. Proshop is now open indoors. 15 min delay for tee off but pace was decent.

Overall, a fun experience and certainly will be back.
