While the conditions have improved greatly compared to several years ago, I cannot recommend this place. Why? Simple: the resort guests wonder all over the course. Between kids running and playing on the fws and bunkers, to kids skateboarding on the cart paths, to soccer games being played on tee boxes, to people fishing in the water hazards and paying no attention to who's on the tee, it's a joke. No monitoring from the facility at all. It's a zoo. Side note: I watched from the 2nd fairway a couple of guys flip their golf cart into the 17th's frontside bunker and severely damage said bunker. They were lucky no one was killed.

I will never come here again.

First time playing here and enjoyed it. There is width off the tee, but the challenge goes up the closer you get to the green. I had always heard how difficult the course is from others in the past, but was more playable than I expected. It definitely looks like a course from Nicklaus's 1980's design portfolio, with the chocolate drop containment mounds, but it still works in the 21st centruy. A couple of the holes were somewhat forgettable, but overall, it's a must play while in the area.

Great layout, with the exception of the 18th. Uncharacteristic hole compared to the rest of the course. Greens were grainy, but otherwise decent. Bunkers were fluffy at times, hard on others and needed raking in spots. One of the best layouts in the valley and solid overall design.

One big complaint. No course marshall on the back 9 and there were resort guests wondering all over the course. On one hole, a couple of resort 'gentlemen' decided to play football in the fairway bunkers. On another hole, a family decided to take a stroll around the green side water hazard and take pictures of each other while we waited to hit our approaches in. Not good.

Fantastic course! Mike Setchell is doing a great job out there. The place is a must see and absolutely worth the drive. Conditions are wonderful. Great mix of short and long holes and the routing together with the routing provides all different types of wind directions. You will not be disappointed. And the food is top notch.

Mr. Ashworth and the community have really turned this place around. Night and day difference in conditions. Still needs a little growing in, but generally speaking, it was solid. Great value and some of the toughest par 3's you'll ever see. Play it!

Course was in it's usual solid shape. Greens ran consistent. Only complaint I have as a regular there is that some of the green surface areas are shrinking due to lazy maintenance or poor concept of how the green complexes are supposed to interface with the angles from the fairways.

Course was in great condition overall. Greens were quick and the ball was rolling smooth. Fairways were consistent throughout.

Played on 6/06 (D-Day!). One of the coolest, funnest courses one can play in all of So Cal. Interesting and fun fairway movement, and some very neat greens, like 7 and 13. Great value for money and a type of course you will not see often (sadly). Considering the water restrictions, the course was in solid shape. Play it!

Played on 4/17. Greens were fantastic. Rolling about 10 on the stimp and ran true. Fw's a tad bit overwatered, but otherwise very solid. Once again, the place rocks. Love it there.

Played on 3/21/15. Greens in really good shape overall. Fairways pretty good. Tees were decent. Bunkers were awful. Some had sand, most were just dirt. Very tight course, so accuracy off the tee is paramount. An average course. It had been 18 years since I had been here. Probably 18 more before I return.

Vast improvement from a couple of weeks ago. FWs are in great shape. Greens greatly improved. A tad overwatered, but that's nitpicking. A really solid course. The super is doing a very solid job. It could use some tree trimming for the health of the greens. 13 needs more sunlight, but the right side trees thwart that. All in all, great fun and I love the place.

Played MLK Day. Course was very, very wet. Greens receptive, but shaggy and bumpy. Some barely had grass, such as the back right portion of the 13th. FW's not as good as summer last year, but it's winter, so understandable. Some major green repairs (patch work). I've seen it much better than this, but like I said, it's winter.
