I played 12/10/14 with plgolfermom at 8:30 am. This was my first time playing after their remodel. The new driving range is amazing ! Chipping area is nice. Greens were very fast and rolled pretty true (although I've seen them near perfect here). The biggest change was new sand in all the many, many bunkers. The fairways were nice. As far as customer service, they have everything you want.
This course is very visually challenging and will give any level golfer all they want from the long back tees. It has a lot of trouble and may be to much for beginners and some high handicappers. If your up for the challenge it's a must play right now

I played Cross Creek on 3/7/14 at 7:30 with the GK coupon for $40 with a free replay. I really enjoyed the course. It offered some challenging golf and beautiful views. The greens were rolling at 10 according to the guy who checked me in. They seemed a little slower but it was damp that morning. They were in great shape and rolled true most of the time. The fairways were good and the rough varied from an inch to four inches depending on the hole. I was only in one bunker and the sand seemed good. The tee boxes were alright. They could use a little care.
Unfortunately I couldn't take advantage of the replay but I still felt the $40 was a great deal for my round there. I was greeted in the parking lot with a cart and check in was great. It was nice to get a complimentary course book. Although it steered me wrong a couple times with it's advice it did have views of each hole and some yardages. There was a beverage cart and marshal on the course and the POP was good. Every hole was unique and I thought 16, 17 and 18 were great finishing holes that I imagine have seen their share of heartbreak and triumph

I played here on 3-16-13. This an old style course with tall mature tree lined narrow fairways and lots of OB. Unless you have the ability to hit your driver very accurate and shape it both ways, I wouldn't play the back tees your first time playing it. I did enjoy the challenge of the course and it will test your nerve when you are staring down a long narrow fairway with OB on both sides ! As far as conditions, I feel like I can't be to harsh given the weather has been pretty crazy lately. Snow one week and 70 degrees the next. The tee boxes were a little beat up, fairways fair, greens fast and rolled true, bunkers fair with mix of sand and dirt. The service was great and we saw the cart girl 3 times. We walked and played in a little over 4 hours

played the course 2/15/13 at 9:30. Not much to add to the last 2 reviews, but did want to mention there was a cart girl today. Saw her about 5-6 times. Also, the greens were outstanding today. They do a nice job of keeping the ball marks fixed for a muni.

I played here on 1/20/13 at 2:00 for a course website special $25 (normal price $65 or $45 after 2:00). The good: beautiful setting in the hills, great clubhouse, friendly helpful staff, good and challenging course layout, great pure white sand bunkers. The bad: greens were awful (many bare spots, bumpy, patchy and the speed varied with the conditions), the fairways were thin and bare in many places, the green collars were messed up on many holes, tee boxes were not level and in need of repair on many holes. After missing a couple 3' putts that bounced around like I was putting in the street, I decided to not keep score and enjoy the good things the course had going. It's a toss up whether it was worth $25. I definatly wouldn't pay $65

played with a GK foursome on 12/19/12 in the afternoon. The last time I played here was a couple years ago and because of poor course conditions and high winds and dust (which I had heard were common), did not plan on returning. Playing with other GK'ers brought me out again and I found the course under new ownership and in outstanding condition. The greens were very fast but still held shots. The rest of the course was outstanding, with the exception of the bunkers, which varied in the amount of sand in them.
The course is visually intimidating and full of trouble. In my opinion, one of the toughest courses in AZ. That being said, I enjoyed the challenge and strategy of each hole. The GPS system on the cart was outstanding and the detailed hole layout with touch point distances was a great help.
Everything about the course, clubhouse and restaurant was enjoyable.I will be back

I played here on 10-24-12. The course just opened up after overseeding. Wow it has come in nice ! The greens look great, but need a couple more cuts before they have their normal speed. They are also very soft and held shots from every club. The fairways are also soft and drives are getting very little roll. They are still on summer rates , so I walked 18 after noon for $10. Best kept secret in town ! FYI, the course will be hosting the boys and girls AZ high school golf state championships this weekend.

I played Snowcreek on 9-24-12. The course is a 9 hole par 35 that plays plenty long from the back tees. The first 4 holes play up towards the mountains and that day into the wind. The next 5 wind their way back down to the clubhouse. The views on the course are spectacular from every hole and the layout is great. The course conditions were great in all areas and the greens were fast. There was a cart girl and ranger on the course. There was a driving range and practice putting green and small outdoor snackbar with seating and TV for after the round. The rental clubs I got were brand new Titlest with a Scotty Cameron putter. Can't ask for much more ! Great course for 9 or 18.

I played here on 07/15/12. When I first looked at the scorecard , I thought it was a strange mix of extremely short and extremely long par 4's. While that is true , I found I really enjoyed the course and the opportunity to use every club in my bag. This is a course where you must take advantage of the many birdie holes on the front 9 , because the bogie holes are coming on the back ! The fairways are plenty wide if you club appropriatly and there are alot of elevation changes. There are also alot of desert carries. The layout is good and very walkable. The views are outstanding. The greens were in good shape but slow. I know they are about to start aerating the following week. The faiways were decent but had alot of bare spots. About half the tee boxes were pretty beat up and the bunkers were decent but at times thin on the sand.

I played here 7/5/12. This is just an update . The greens are about 90% back from aeration. They were medium fast and rolled pretty true. The rest of the course is in good shape. I walked the course in the morning for $15 with a Phoenix card. You can't beat it !

I played here 7/6/12. The layout is the first thing I have to mention. I love a course where no 2 holes are alike. I loved the variety and thought behind this course ! They give you a hole by hole layout book and you need it. It is a beautiful desert course with nice elevation changes, a fair amount of water and alot of trees and plants. The only warning is most fairways are narrow and missing the fairway can be very penalizing. In my opinion , I would hit whatever club keeps you in the fairway , even if your hitting long irons to the green. The greens are just coming back from aeration and were medium speed. The faiways were good but cut pretty thin. Rough was lush and about 2 inches. Bunkers had great sand. I got my tee time through Golfhub for $29 plus a $1.50 booking fee. When I checked in the pro shop , I was told if I called them with an internet deal , that they would match it with no extra fees. I will playing here again soon.

I played this course on 6/10/12. I have played a large percentage of the golf courses in the Phoenix area, but this was my first time playing here. I wouldn't pay $10 to play this course again , let alone the $$$$ that they usually charge. The starter told me the course was built in the 1920's. Apparently , all they've done since it was built is cut the grass. It is a giant sea of grass , with what seems to be the same hole over and over again , going up and back. The conditions were dry and hard. The only positive was there was nice sand in the bunkers.
