Tee Time- 12/22 at 10:36
Weather- Perfect
Green Fee- $86
Tees- Blues
Pros- The course was in great shape from the tee to the green. The fairways were a tad wet but they were really lush. As was the rough and the tee boxes.
Cons- The greens were worse than any course I have played in the last 3 years. I would rather putt Westlake(gulp). The ball bounced everywhere. No holding lines, no nothing... Course would be really close to a 10 if the greens were puttable. As a secondary, the bunkers were short on sand.
Overall- Love this place.. but I won't go back until the greens improve... Normally, 5 times a year

Los Caballeros
Tee Time- Monday 11/25 1:30 PM
Tees- Tips
Weather- Fall/Winter Perfect 65 sunny, slight breeze

Pros- I was driving from LV to PHX for the Thanksgiving Holiday and I wanted to stop and play some place off the beaten path. Some of the guys on here suggested this course so I gave it a try. This place is almost perfect. I could write an essay on the course, but I will simply put down some of the highlights. The staff and the facilities were top notch. The layout provides a variety of shots needed and challenges all different level of golfers. The course opens both 9's with simple and straightforward par 4's and that is the end of straightforward. The course has great risk reward short par 4's and some amazing par 5's. The 5th hole, a 530 par 5, has a ton of elevation change and provides a uniquely difficult landing area. The 18th is a great par 5 as well. This course is typical desert layout with a ton of elevation change. 14 of the holes require an uphill approach to the green, often times some 30 or 40 feet. The overall experience is top notch and I would go back tomorrow.

Cons- The rain had soften the course a ton. The greens were not as fast I would have hoped for and the fairways were a tad shaggy, but it is easy to understand why. This course is in the middle of the desert and gets limited play, so they have to take extra care of making sure their mowing is perfectly timed. The cons are seasonal only, simply a matter of bad timing.

Overall- Worth the green fee, worth the drive, and would play again! Great Job Los Cab

Played here on Sunday the 17th in the AM. Course is in great shape except on the tees. The tees are covered in sand and being redone, but it didnt detract from the quality of the course by much. Great play, crazy layout, go play it and enjoy

Tee Time- 715 Sunday, 10-13
Weather- Cool, Crisp, Breezy
Tees- Tips
Green Fee- $63
Pros- First time out after a couple weeks off following last yearly qualifier. I had some friends who wanted to play and because so many courses are in PUNCH MODE, we called RR and got an early Sunday morning time. We had a blast. Greens were rolling 11-13 and consistent. Great roll. Fairways were standard, as was the rough.
Cons- Some tee boxes were beat up. Just simply over used. Not much more to dislike.
Overall- I love this course. Always have, always will. The TIPS here are a challenge. Great price, great service, look to play here 12 times a year

Tee Time- 8/11 6:53
Green Fee- $63... worth it for a Sunday AM
Temp- 60's and 70's... light breeze
Tees- Tips
Pros- Greens are pure right now. Some inconsistent speed but all in all this is the highlight of this course. The greens rolled great and the were not overly pocked up with pitch marks. We made a ton of puts here longer than 10 feet as a group. The rest of the course was pretty standard condition for this place.
Cons- I am not always enamored with this layout. I prefer the other course, the Lakes, to this one any day of the week. That being said, the cons were not high... just some maintence and maybe a bit of wet sand.
Overall- Play here 2 times a year because you know what you are going to get. RGM2525 is a blast to play with so hit him up to play if you are looking for some good chatter. Will be back

Tee Time- Sunday 6/23 730 am
Fee- $68... worth it
Weather- Humid, hot, no breeze
Tees- Tips
Pros- Pleasantly surprised as I had not seen a review here in the last months, but risked it and played anyway. Faldo design, guy is a straight sicko. Course is not easy for people who like to move the ball right to left like I do(lefty). The course is in great shape, greens were not too fast but firm and not holding shots. I think this is the design. Sand was good, layout was good, fairways were good.
Cons- Some boxes were really poorly taken care of. Slow play... Staff was not too friendly.
Overall- I liked it, would round out a weekend trip with this course.

Tee Time- 430 Friday 6/21
Fee- 40... great deal
Weather- Hot, 105, breezy
Tees- Tips
Pros- Basically Everything. This course always amazes me. We try and play here first every summer when we brave the heat and drive down to the desert... and sure enough, this place never disappoints. Yes the greens are crusty because its a 100+ degrees. Yes, the course has some heat damage, but no one ever leaves this place disappointed. I won't even post a cons section here because it doesn't seem right... if you go to PS area, play here.
Overall, a must play every time you are in the desert.

Tee Time- 7:45 Saturday, 6/22
Fee- $50
Tees- Tips
Weather- Hot, breezy
Pros- Layout was ok. For this time of year the course was in a condition that was completely in line with green fee. Course is totally fun, playable, and had a good overall feel.
Cons- Some unlevel tee boxes. Got this tee time offline and the put us out between 2 tourneys. Sand was a bit spotty and some heavy burnout areas in the fairways.
Overall- I will play again if I need a course to round out a great weekend in the desert.

Green Fee- 35$ walking... worth it for sure

Pros- I played in the US Public Links here on 6/11 and was fortunate enough to qualify for day 2 on Wednesday 6/12. The course was in decent shape, but nothing was outstanding. I was pleased with the layout, as I had not really played here before trying to qualify for the US Public Links. The greens were rolling at an ok speed and the sand traps were great. The fairways did not present any bad lies really, but they were punched in some places. The kikuyu here is everywhere and I don't like the grass really, but it was in decent shape. For tournament play, with public all around, POP was about 4:15... which was perfect.
Cons- Tees had some bare spots. Green speeds were inconsistent day to day and green to green. Greens were rolling anywhere from a 8 to a 10. They also had a ton of unrepaired ball marks. Also, they are doing work on the Rose Bowl and there was backing up tractors and heavy equipment all day...
Overall- I enjoyed the experience and the course. This is a super muni in my mind and should be mixed into the courses I play at least once every couple of months.

Tee Time- 6 am Saturday
Green Fee- $44
Weather- Cool, cloudy, nice weather overall
Tees- Tips
Worth it- This is the max green fee I would pay.
Pros- I have loved this layout. This course has great sightlines. The greens were ok, but not great. The sand was also a pro.
Cons- Everything else. This course is in terrible shape. The fairways are terrible, the rough is terrible, the tee boxes are miserable. Some are literally the worst boxes I have ever played. I wish they took care of the tips here, I would actually play here if the boxes were level.
Overall- This place stinks. I won't go back for a long time

Played 4/7. Won't even post a normal review format because this place is a joke. I have fond memories because I started playing golf here 20 years ago or so. The course is a joke, no mowed fairways, greens where longer than morongo and oak valley fairways from the day before. Practicing shots is always good, this course is a great beat around round... but don't expect too much

Tee Time- 12:45pm Saturday 4/6
Green Fee- $54, amazing rate
Tees- Tips.... all 7300
Weather- Slightly breezy, mid 70s, sunny
Pros- This course has come a long way in the last 1.5 years since Morongo bought it. The Canadian PGA is q schooling here 4/7-4/12 and I can tell you this course was playing tough. Rough was long, fairways tight. They used to have no sand in the bunkers and now there is a ton of fluffy sand in all the bunkers. Course was lush and was basically perfect tee to green. Greens rolled somewhere around 10.
Cons- So we teed off at 12:45 and played the first 6 holes in 2 hours. Gulp. We were in a 4 group back up on #5. The q school guys were everywhere practicing, cutting into play on holes... Just a mess. So the marshall, much to his credit, switched us over to the Legends on 6 and the pace of play was drastically better. Still slow, but the con turned into a positive for the service aspect of the course.
Overall- Challenging... moved into my top 5 courses and I will come back as often as possible.
