Early morning round at Brookside #2. Check in and first tee very organized. Course is in rough shape first fairway was dirt and CPO. Really need to keep an eye on the cart GPS for CPO warnings on different holes. Many fairways had very little grass and our group decided to play LCP. Tee boxes were chewed up and had to search for a level place to tee from. Sand traps were well taken care of with good sand. Greens were lush and smooth, running a little on the slow side leaving quite a few putts short. #12 is closed again and the temp green was set on a mound of dirt.
Have not seen Brookside play this rough and would give it a month or so to heal.

Morning tee time at MC have not played here for awhile and conditions have really improved. Previous review is spot on and the greens are back to their challenge. Greens were a little spongy in anticipation of the heat but are still very tough to read. Beautiful day and the local wildlife make for a pleasant round.

Wednesday morning tee time at the Wick. Check in was ok. Tees and fairways were very thin, rough was all over the map, traps had coarse sand and were well groomed. Elevated greens with some speed to them need to play to the center. Greens had good coverage and held shots. POP was four hours. No amenities at the course except restrooms at the clubhouse had not played here in a long time and conditions were not the best. The course will do if your expectations are low.

Noon tee time last Friday on the Ike. Played with some friends of my sons that played from the blue tees it was a struggle on the par fours and the par five 18th for me. Tees were in good shape, fairways were thin and brown. Rough had good coverage and was not too penal to hit from. Players were not using the available rakes to rake bunkers. Greens were in very good condition rolling smooth and true with speed on the quick side. Quite a few unrepaired divots from players that don’t care. POP was a little under five hours with the back playing faster due to groups dropping out as it got closer to sunset. Course is a good test of golf.

Tuesday morning tee time, check in and first tee well organized. Tee boxes were lacking good coverage on more than a few holes. Fairways and rough have good coverage and provided a good surface to hit from. Traps need to be raked on a regular basis a couple of traps had extra large footprints in them for so early in the morning. Greens are still recovering and were bumpy and sandy. POP was 4.5 hours with waiting on a couple of holes on the front nine. Great senior rate.

Course is in full maintenance mode. Greens are fully sanded and fairways are being aerated with 90* rule for all carts. Traps are compacted mud. They do have discounted green fees. Would give it a couple weeks.

Midday tee time at WGC place was very busy and well organized. Played the blue tees and quite a few were crowned with little grass to hit off of. Fairways and rough were thin with a lot of run to the ESA sides of fairways. Greens were bumpy and all had unfixed divots fixed four or five per hole and could have done more. Bunkers were very wet with compacted sand. Water hazard on 16,17 and 18 have little water in it and is really visually unappealing. POP was a little over four hours and never had to wait on a shot. Really like the layout of the course and hope conditions improve.

Early morning tee time at DLGC today. Check in and first tee organized, tee times were 20 minutes behind with no real reason. Some tee boxes were on the thin side, fairways and rough have good coverage. Greens were lush with quite a few unfixed divots. Greens were on the slow side and little furry. Traps are in need of some TLC, compacted muddy soil with weeds growing in some and none were raked. Back nine our group had the option of taking a drop. POP was four hours. Senior green fee is one of the best around.

Early morning round at Dads walked on and went right to the first tee. Tee boxes are getting a little beat up with thin coverage. Fairways and rough have good coverage with a couple of fairways with brown spots. Bunkers were in good shape with rakes. Greens are very lush and rolled at medium speed with very few unfixed divots. Senior rate is a great bargain for a Friday round in OC. The little things make a difference, one of the staff was out marking GUR spots and they are putting benches out on some tee boxes. On course restrooms still not open. POP under four hours.

Tuesday morning tee time at EG. Tee times are made through Golf Now. Starter was on top of his game and kept everything organized. Amazing what water does for a golf course last time we played here everything was rock hard, now it is a completely different course. Tee boxes were level and have good coverage, fairways and rough were very green and provided a good cushion to hit shots from. 6 holes had CPO. Traps did suffer from the water on the course very compacted sand. Greens are lush and smooth, very slow and could never get the speed down all day.
POP was a little over four hours. Saw deer on a couple of holes with one that was grazing on the 18th tee and did not move as we teed off. Course is playing very good.

Late Thursday morning tee time at CGC. Course is in a great setting in the middle of wine vineyards. Tee sheet was completely full and they were hosting the PGA Drive, Pitch and Putt competition. As we were walking up to check in one of the participants had just won and she was on cloud nine, nice to see some good junior players. Tees, fairways and rough had good coverage. Rough was thick and hard to hit a wood or hybrid out of. Greens were smooth and held shots. Traps were kind of hit or miss with conditioning. Layout requires some local knowledge and green complexes were tough, lots of elevation changes on the greens had many chances at three putts.
POP was 4.5 hours, all on course amenities were open and staff were very accommodating.

Afternoon tee time at The Hills. Check in and first tee were well organized. Quite a few tee boxes under construction and tees bunched together and had not been moved for awhile. With tees moved up the course was playing short. Fairways and rough have good coverage, traps were all over the map with many wet compacted sand and even though rakes were out people not raking traps. Greens had good coverage but were very bumpy and inconsistent being on the slow side. POP was very good on the front but slow on the back. Green fees are a little high for the current conditions.
