Hello fellow golfers. I played the Navy Course (Destroyer) today Tue, Feb 17. I got out on time again. This was my week. The Navy course is always fun to play at least once because of its history and it is right next to a base of some kind with military grade flying machines. The course was in good shape. The greens rolled pretty good and the fairways had some roll to them. The course is pretty flat so it's a good walk. If the wind blows it can make a few holes interesting. I enjoy playnig this course when the greens are fast because there is movement in just about every green. Enjoy

Hey there fellow golfers. I played Glen Ivy today, Mon Feb 16. Well, I was surprised again. We started on time. The tee boxes were full of grass but a but too long for my taste. I like tee boxes to be tightly mowed. The fairways were in decent shape but no real separation between them and the rough. The greens were rolling ok with a few ball marks but I guess that's to be expected. Pace of play was so-so. I didn't see a marshall. Overall it's an enjoyable course with plenty of elevation and houses to hit. Houses aren't on every hole but are on the ones that require a good tee shot, Hmmm. The 18th is always fun because the tee box sets up on top of a mountain and looks down over the world. I usually hit 3 metal from the tips and end up close to the lake with a wedge in. It's a fun course. Enjoy.

Hello fellow golfers. I played Brookside #2 today, Sun Feb 15. To my surprise we got out on time. The pace of play was pretty good. The tee boxes were ok, which means they were pretty flat and had enough grass on them. The fairways were "ok" too. There were wet spots closer to the greens which prevented me from bouncing into front pins. The greens had pretty good speed, enough for me to think about line instead of hitting the putt. Overall, it was a good day except for when I went inside to order lunch. I ordered the Brookside burger. The burger was ok but the tomato was the size of a quarter, so you know I had to say something. I asked for ketchup for my fries and I get a little plastic cup, 1 oz maybe. I was hoping they would bring a bottle since there were 5 of us at the table and most had a food item that required ketchup. So if you order the Brookside burger get plenty of condiments because it comes with zero. Other than that it was a good day. Enjoy.

Hey there fellow golfers. I played Olivas today, Feb 1st. I always like coming here because it's a nice drive from Eagle Rock and I get a chance to let my lil red car stretch his legs, plus in the summer it's usually about 10 degrees cooler. The guy at the counter always greets me by my name and that's always a good feeling. The course was in pretty good shape today. This course is pretty flat and most of the greens have movement in them. The greens were rolling true but I would like to see them a little faster. The fairways were good with avg roll to them. Some of the tee boxes were getting kind of beat up. I'm not sure why that is but I'm sure they will fix it soon. All in all it was a good day. The pace of play wasn't bad. Maybe because most people were watching the superbowl. I will continue to play here and enjoy the ocean breeze. Enjoy

Hello fellow golfers. I played Alhambra golf course today, Sat the 31. The staff in the pro shop are always great. I've been coming here for quite a while now. Thanks Julius for making my visits enjoyable and also the other staff. The course is getting greener. The fairways are getting better, not as many dry spots. The greens were rolling prety good but people still aren't repairing their ball marks. I like this course because you can work on your short game and long irons. No need to hit driver except on 2 holes, the 2nd and the 16th. Pace of play is usually good when I go, mostly after 3pm. Enjoy

Hey fellow golfers. I played Mtn Meadows today, Sun the 25, with a couple of my buddies. I haven't played here in quite a while. Needless to say not much has changed except a few trees were taken down. The pace of play was terrible. 5 somes on just about every hole. One hole had 7 people playing it at the same time. I guess they finally figured this was not Alaska and the sun would eventually set. We finished in the dark on the last 2 holes. The tee boxes were not that great but at least they had grass. The fairways were avg and didn't have big dirt spots. The greens were rolling on the medium side. I guess if they made them faster then we wouldn't have finished 9 holes. The course is ok to play if you have 6 hrs to spare. The thing that bugged me was they had 3 guys working as starters but no one on the course to regulate pace of play, Hmmmm. I probably won't be back because there is nothing about this course I would miss. Enjoy

Hello fellow golfers. Played Indian Hills this Sunday, the 18th. Haven't been here in a while because it's usually not in the best of shape, but golf is golf, right? Anyway, the tee boxes need work. Hard to find a level spot on some of the tee boxes and the grass is kinda beat up. The fairways were playable. The greens were on the slow side..kinda like carpet. If they made the greens faster this course would be a big challenge. I kept getting mud on my ball. Don't know why it was wet out there at the time we played. Oh well, I won't be back for a while again but at least the course wasn't worse than the last time.

Hey fellow golfers. I played this course on a birthday special, Jan 10th. Met another birthday golfer and we played together so the 2 of us had a good time. It was worth the "birthday" deal but not the regular rate. Pace of play was good that day but that's because of the threat of rain, I guess. The tee boxes were ok. All of them had flat lies. That's hard to find on most public courses. The fairways were dormant but good enough to hit shots and had some roll if you have a low ball flight, which I do not. The greens were the best part. They were on the small side but rolled well and had movement in them. The greens are the only thing that make this course hard. You got to know them and hit them in the right spot. The bunkers were good as well. I'll be back next year if they don't raise their birthday rate. They give you a nice lunch and range balls along with the deal. Enjoy.

Hey there my fellow golfers. I played this course yesterday, Jan 12th, on a golf now deal. That's the only way I would play it. I hadn't played here since the clubhouse was a trailer. Now I see why the green fees went up. They gotta pay for the big clubhouse, the rubber they laid down for the carts to park on next to the tee boxes and the carts that won't let you speed. The course still has its challenge. The tee boxes were pretty good, the fairways not so good. The grass in the fairway was dormant so the lies were tight but you could still take a divot. The greens were rolling good. Don't be above the hole on some of them because the ball won't stop. I'd come back for another "deal" but the the regular rate. Enjoy

Hello fellow golfers. Played here Mon the 5th. Haven't played here in 8 yrs. Not much has changed. Tee boxes were kinda dry and patchy. Fairways were the same. I guess they call it dormant for this time of year. They were still dry and hard to find a good lie. Greens were rolling pretty good with a few ball marks but you find that everywhere. Pace of play was decent. I was only in 1 bunker, the 17th, and the sand was pretty good if people would rake it. I probably won't be back until it's greener. Enjoy.

Hey there golfers. Played Sterling Hills Monday 4/23. Wow, what a relief. Finally finished a round in the correct amount of time. 3.5 hrs. Teed off at 2:00, finished at 5:30. After a 4 some let us go thru on the 3rd hole we didn't see a group unitl the 17 fairway. Course was in good shape. Fairways a little soft. Greens were ok, not fast or slow. I like fast greens though. These were maybe a 8 or 8.5. Tee boxes were a lil long but flat. Overall good condition. It was worth the $20 Click4teetimes.

Hey there golfers. Played Daimond Bar golf course Sunday 4/21. Greens were rolling good. Overall course shape was decent. But where I had the problem was in the pro shop. We started at least 20 mins past our tee time. We get to the 1st tee and there are 4 groups ahead of us. The group in front of us is a 4 some, all beginners, and one lady who was with a guy in the group didn't have her own set of clubs. This slowed us down big time cuz she would hit 10 yds then hit another 10 yds and no one told her to pick up after 20 strokes, plus she had to run to the bag to get other clubs. I called the pro shop on the 1st tee to let them know about this and the guys says, "I know, I let them play any way". Unreal. Other than that and the 5:45 round time, everything was good.
