I do love the layout of the front nine on this course. The trees and their colors looked amazing this morning. It's hard to keep your shots near the cart path all day. If I had a pushcart I would of walked. This is true for any course that is cpo only and not a reflection on the course.
I'm not a huge fan of the back nine 17 and 18 are fun plus few others. The front 8 holes are hard to follow.

Service was great minus one greens keeper who bothered my awesome playing partner (who though over 20 yrs my elder and partially handicapped but beat me by 10+ strokes) for driving his cart on the grass. You just don't do that to people. Especially when you see the other cart observing the cpo rule it's just tacky.

Played here on Monday.I was second out as a single. The group ahead let me play through on the second hole. I was three holes up on them by the turn. I was only using irons that today so i played from the whites. POP under 3 hrs.

As for the course the it is well maintained, the greenskeepers are courteous. I now understand why courses do not let singles out first as it pushes the crew and it makes there work take longer. I found the first nine holes to be rather enjoyable but on the back it just felt as if i was repeating the front. Overallit is a way better course than the mountain and a fair course.

Played here this am. Love the layout but for what they charge they should overseed the fairways. The same management company runs RR as well.

pop 3 hr 15 min 7:55 tee time. POP should of been 2hr 30 but i got lazy. The first 9 was very nice typical desert course.
back nine was horrid, i felt as if i was golfing in a parking lot which i basically was. The holes are built through a hotels parking lot.
service I find the people in the pro shop to be sorta snooty. Its hit o r miss in there. The snack shop lady and cart woman were great.

Played here a couple of days before xmas. They were recovering from a storm the night before but it was still in good swhape. The greens were a bit soggy on a few holes but life goes. Fairways were dormant as are most courses vin Fresno. Its a a shame as this course would be amazing if they overseeded. Its still in my opinion one of the best courses in the area. There are two private courses in the area that i prefer but hands down the best public course in the central valley. POP 3 to 3.5 hrs.

Played here yesterday. (11/10/14) Course was still transitioning. The fairways were very good. There is still a lot off new growth still happening.... The roughs are getting close, but are still not there yet. Some sections are way to long and others not fully grown in. I've played here a lot and would rate it a 7 as ompared to its normal 9 that i would give it.

This course is a monster. Such a great layout, but ww is it tough. In my opinion one of the toughest in CA. Tpc at PGA west I believe has a higher slope but is a much easier course. They just recently dropped empire golf as their management company I hope whoever takes over gets the rough and traps back in shape.
