Had the opportunity to play Soboba this week. First time playing this course.
The course is in very nice to great condition. Sand traps had a good amount of fluffy sand. Greens were great and rolled true/ med-fast. Fairways were green and balls rolled when they landed. Rough was lush and balls were hard to find if you landed in them.. This did cause some delay. One of the best conditions I've seen in any course in the Inland Empire. Long drive to get there but worth it.

Great staff at the grill as they were bombarded with orders but kept a good sense of humor.

I suggest staying the night at the Soboba Casino Hotel if you have a long drive.

It's been years since I've played Sierra Lakes, since it's an hour drive from home. We decided to play here to try a different course on our weekly rotation. Glad we did decide to drive out to Sierra Lakes.

Conditions are very good to excellent. Greens have healed nicely from aeration. They are rolling true, med-fast. Fairways are nice and green. Rough is lush and around 2"-3" in height, so balls can get lost. Greenside traps had a good amount of sand to get out off. Very impressed with staff and food at lounge. Will be back in the future.

Played yesterday and wanted to update the course conditions. The greens were aerated recently and the aeration holes are still visible. The greens are still slightly bumpy from aeration, possibly 2 weeks before they are pristine.

Some of the Tee boxes are being repaired so they are moved up to the closest tee to the green. Some of the tee boxes were saturated with water, so you will have to find a dry spot to achieve good footing.

Sand traps had good coverage of sand, but still no rakes available. Rest of course was in good condition. Overall POP was 4.5 hours. Great staff as usual.

Played today with a POP of 4.5 hours. The course is aerating and over-seeding parts of several fairways and the bare spots in the course. The greens are in nice condition, just had to repair some divots that are not being fixed by other golfers. SCGA has not updated the new layout in the golf App. Staff is friendly as usual.

Finally found a good price to play this course. It appears that the rates are slowly becoming reasonable. Staff was great and welcoming. First hole we did notice a backup, and eventually teed off 10 minutes behind booked tee time. Pace was at 4.5 hours, we were lucky that the weather was not that hot.

Greens, fairways and rough were in good condition. Some tee boxes looked like they were aerated and had some bare spots. The worst part of the course were the sandtraps. Some had rocks and dented a friends club. We ended up taking our balls out of the traps, it appears that they are in the process of getting them filled.

Played Monday. First time back in over 6 months. Not a favorite due to long POP. No starter at tee box and of course we ended up starting 10 minutes behind scheduled tee time.
Greens were fluffy and bumpy. Balls did not roll true and were slow. Traps were hard and barely any sand.

POP ended up being just over 4 hours. Restaurant has very good food.

Played today, walking for the course. Some of the fairways are being aerated but didn't really affect the play. Greens are in condition and rolled med-fast. The walking distance from the 16th to 17th hole is a little trek. Sad to see the Players side not being utilized for the time being as there is no progress being done by the County.

Played today at a grueling 5 hour POP. Waited in mostly all holes after starting 15 minutes after booked tee time. #2 and #17 greens are fully topped with sand, looked like a beach. Some of the greens were bumpy and would not roll true. Some tee boxes were heavily divot damaged and had weeds growing. #9 and #17 had a power pole that you had to go around. Not worth the $51 for play.

Played yesterday. The course is now down to 18 holes from 36. You either need luck or speed to get decent tee times. Some of the holes are being redesigned. You play the classic course all the way through the original 13 holes. #14 was the #18th hole. #15-#18 was part of the Players course.

The greens are the best part of the course. Rolled true and with med-fast roll. Fairways and tees were in good condition, green but hard. I wish the county did not close the Players side as they received enough play to make it easier to book tee times.

Late review. Played here on Monday Aug 2nd. It was a grueling triple digit temperature. Staff as always are great. Tees and fairways were in good condition. Unfortunately some of the greens were terrible, worst I have ever seen since I have been playing here. Some of the greens have been affected by something (heat, disease or over fertilizing) their were brown spots and some spots were just dirt. Real bumpy and no true roll. We ended up playing the 2 put rule. Hopefully they get it back to the pristine conditions they were before.

First time back in over 4 months. What a big difference. The course is the greenest I have seen it in several years at this time of year. Fairways were nice and green and not compacted dirt. Some of the rough were deep enough that it was tough to get out of. The greens were nice but did roll slow as they appear to be letting them grow out a little.

Some GUR especially in hole #3 where they were placing sod in the fairway. The only gripe is that the bunkers did not contain sand and were hard packed, they need to be tilled and new sand replaced. POP was 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Staff were great and friendly.

Haven't played Talega for several months. Finally found a tee time and booked it.

The greens are really nice and green. They did roll medium and true. Fairways had good grass coverage with some brown spots due to the hot weather. Sand traps especially fairway traps contained hard packed sand. Some traps are being reconditioned and some are being resized. Still no bunker rakes.

Still is a fun layout and friendly staff. Still no entry into pro shop. Driving range does not open till 9am.
