Played over the weekend. Tight fun short course with some interesting holes. Pretty challenging. Lot's of good elevation changes and doglegs. Some blinds shots so be careful when hitting up. I did not think the course was in “Great” condition as stated but still worth the green fee. I will be back.

I remember when it was over a hundred dollar to play Hidden Valley. Good to see the course still open and the reduced rates. Fairways are a little thin and wet in spots, rough inconsistent from hole to hole, tee boxes were really scruffy, but the greens were great and the views fantastic. For $65 on the weekend, they’ll see me again.

Where’s the rye? After about a two hour frost delay this Sunday, I couldn’t help noticing the lack of rye grass in the fairways. Something must have gone wrong with their overseeding because I have never seen their fairways in this thin of shape. Soboba Springs golf course is a long time favorite of mine and it continues to be. Under the thin turf conditions I still enjoyed the layout and superb greens the course is famous for. I’ll be back this spring once the bermuda perks up. Still a great course that is lots of fun.

Played Green Tree Golf Course Monday afternoon. I didn’t expect much from the course being it was only $12 to play. Turned out to pretty fun. There is nothing special about the course or the club house. When you pull in you wonder if you’re even at the place. I almost parked in the next door Café lot. The proshop/bar is about the size of my family room. The course itself is not in good condition but a decent layout. Over 3400 on the front nine with a few tough holes. I was in Victorville on business that day, I would definitely not go out of my way to play Green Tree golf course again but it adequately satisfied my need for a quick and cheap round.
