Until everyone starts fixing their ball marks, tee divots, and fairway divots.....it's not going to get any better. And play to your level....don't just go for the blue tees !!! USE YOUR HEAD !!!

Course is in great shape. However,it shouldn't take 6 hours to play this course. The 2 guys I was paired up with couldn't believe it either.I have never seen it back up where it was backing up.....guys waiting on par 4's til the group ahead was putting before teeing off. And the marshalls[ what a joke ] were non-existant ,and the 1 we did see just drove by and waved.
If you have a desire to spend all day playing JUST 18 ,then this is the place. Perhaps Jack Nicklaus was right...something has to be done to the ball ,if ordinary guys think they can drive every par 4 on a course. If they can hit it 340-390 like they think they can, what the heck are they doing playing here ??? Plop down the $3500 and go toQ-school and get out there on the tour and make some real $$$$$. Stop clogging up the local courses.
Oh yeah, both my playing partners said this would be the LAST time they EVER play this course.I have already given up trying to get on the weekends.....7+ hrs for a round. It's too bad because the course is fun to play and is in great shape.I just have no answer to why it is taking so long to play a course that isn't very long or hard....just golfer error and arrogance I guess.Maybe guys think "I paid $30,so I need to be out here for 6 hrs...that's $5 an hour "..a bargain huh ?

Played om Thursday 1-27,course in good shape thanks to all the rain we got.Fairways had dried out but still had some squishy spots. Rough is not too bad, some traps need help though.Worth the $$'s but the pace is kinda slow.Other than that it's great.

Played on Sat 10/30 with 3 great guys.It had rained heavily on Wed/Thurs so it was cart path only.Got the tee time through "click4teetimes.com" No mention of the greens being punched.Plus I guess the rain had washed away all of the sand ,so it was 1/4" to 1/2" holes on every green. The 3 guys I played with had played it the week before and said the greens had been perfect and could not understand why they had punched them. They also thought that "click4"didn't have any mention of it on the website(as some other courses had it noted on theirs). Course was super wet in spots, but fun to play. Some slow groups, but that was expected...what wasn't was the marshalls refusal to do anything about it as they were busy looking for some lost keys.
I really enjoyed my partners as we were cracking jokes about the group in front of us and just had a good time, and since we were already out on the course when we found out about the conditions,we just took it with a grain of salt and tried to have a good time. Give it a few weeks with no more rain and the greens will be in good shape.

Played before the rains...greens were coming along very nicely after the aeration. The fairways were mowed way down and you got a lot of roll. With all this rain I'm sure that will change, they need to do something about the sand though....still way too hard.A good deal for the $'s. And a note....If you can't drive your tee shot 250 yards, what makes you think you can hit your next shot over 300 ???There is NO EXCUSE for someone to wait until the group in front of them clears the green on a 520 yd par 5,when their tee shot is more than 300 yards from the green !...like they are going to fly 1 on from there. If you think you can hit your 3 wood over 300,then why didn't you TEE OFF WITH IT ? Use your head. Besides you can always yell "FORE" if you happen to hit the shot of your life.

Played 8/27(birthday)and teed off about 30 min behind another golfer...didn't see him all day.Caught a 4 some on the 14th hole and they let me play through....Thanks Guys !Course was in great shape..greens were fantastic.Best I ever putted. The rough had been cut down to about 1-3 inches...couldn't tell I didnt hit 1 ball into it all day.I'm sure it will play different if you can't hit fairways. This course will test your game, but it is worth playing. This has been 1 of the few places where you could shoot at the pin and have your ball spin back in close.I bladed a iron shot on a par 3 on the back 9 and it stopped about 6 inches from the cup( and about a foot from my ball mark !!)PLAY this course...worth the drive and the staff were /are super friendly.Worth the $48 definitely. Will play again.

Yep there are limbs all over the place....AROUND EVERY TREE in fact !!!Fairways were thin and needed watering ( it has been super hot here though,I live just up the street ).Tee boxes were hammered, greens were bumpy ( I can live with some bumps but 1 putt I had hopped up and literally stopped like I had putted into a tree ),sand traps are a joke, fairways are kinda thin and dry = lots of roll.... An Asian 4-some who thought they could drive a 500+ yard par 5 and made 3 groups back up behind them...guys,you can't hit it that far !!! and if you did I would Pay for you to go to PGA Qualifying school !! Other than that it was great ! As soon as they pick up the limbs and water a little bit ,it will be in OK shape.

Played 5/28 ..greens kinda bumpy ,but super soft. Not too many ball marks, sand traps need some help(especially the greenside bunker on # 2 WOW can we say HARD !!!).Fairways were OK some brown spots but rolling nice.It has been overcast almost every day this past week ,so I'm sure that has helped keep the greens soft.If you play anywhere in the afternoon, almost every course's greens will be bumpy( there's always an exception though). For the $'s this course is great. 1 word though....the "Super Twilight" fee of $11,doesn't start now until 6:00 P.M so expect to pay $15.50 until 6.Thanks LA county.1 whole hour of play...THANKS.

I haven't played here in 10 years ,so it was kinda nice to see how it has aged.Course was in great shape, except some of the fairways were severely soaked..along with a few sand traps too.Greens were in great shape, soft but rolling pretty fast also. Not too bumpy for a public course,we went off at 11:45 and finished at 4:15 so not too many people ahead of us.This course plays different in the morning than in the afternoon due to the wind...strong almost every afternoon. Guys in the pro shop were very accomodating as well due to the fact that the 91 had the fast-trac and 1 lane of the east bound freeway closed in the morning so they could clean...made me 15 minutes late for my tee time (which I got at click4teetimes.com).Guys said they had gotten calls from a bunch of people cancelling because of that, but 'NO WORRIES" and they got me out right away.I guess they could have said "Tough luck, you missed it" but they didn't,so THANKS GUYS !!! Would play again anytime...just allow yourself some extra time if you are coming from LA/Orange county.

Played on Sun(Mothers Day )Course was wide open.Group in front was a hole ahead and the group behind was 2-3 holes behind the whole round.Excellent course, and all of the others are right...you have to hit it straight.Everyone associated with this course was friendly too. Will definately play again.

Greens were in great shape, sand traps were a joke though...more like "Hard-packed dirt traps"[although I did chip out of the 2 I landed in..holing 1 and almost holing the other ]They need some rakes...so you can rake them after.Hard to rake without a rake ....Management !! No water coolers on the course either...apparently some one has been adding something to the coolers ..even though they are/were locked up.If they blow up that aging clubhouse and do something with it,it would be a MAJOR inprovement !! Overall for the $'s [and considering the other 4 courses I tried to get on had tournaments] it was worth it.Plus I shot my 2nd best score ever so perhaps that helped too.In the summer the dairy across the street ,will kill you with the smell, but it wasn't too bad on Sunday.
