Played here Sunday with fellow Gker, Kviser. We had a 9:54 tee time with green fees and cart it was $68. I greatly appreciate the Greenkeeper deal. Conditions were very good overall with good coverage on the fairways and tee boxes. The rough was not too penalizing and the bunkers had good sand. The greens were medium fast and rolled true. As usual the staff was friendly and helpful. The only negative is that fire damage is not fully repaired yet. I will be back especially when the temperature gets nearing 100 in Valencia. Wish I lived closer.

I played here yesterday with Kviser. Fairways and rough were decent but the greens were very bumpy and inconsistent due to the aeration earlier in the week. Surprisingly the bunkers had good sand and were raked. Pace of play was about 4 hours which was better than the last time I played here. As for value, the $54 was not the best considering the greens condition especially when compared to the superior courses and value in Ventura County. Staff was not the friendliest or that organized. Give the greens at least 2 weeks before they are healed. Still had a great time playing with Kevin and in the end that is the most important.

I played here yesterday with fellow Gker, Kviser. We had a 12:42 tee time. Weather was perfect 75 and breezy. As usual the staff was courteous and helpful. We used the GK coupon and with cart it was $42 per player. The fairways were on the firm side and there were some dry spots but for the most part most lush than thin. The firm fairways gave some good run out especially on some bad thin shots. The rough was not too penal with decent lies unless you found the waste bunker. Greens were medium fast probably around a 9. For the most the greens were in good shape and were receptive. Bunkers had good sand. 1 bunker was compacted but still got out of it. Pace of play was on the slow side. We had a four some in front of us that were very slow and delayed us about 45 minutes otherwise we would have finished in about 4 hours. Overall the course was good condition and with this summer heat I will be back.

I played here on Saturday with an 8:30 tee time with family and friends. The practice green was still wet from the rain and was running slow. However on the course the greens ran medium and got faster throughout the day. As usual with the Goose, conditions were good. The fairways, rough, and tee boxes all had good to very good coverage. The rough was not to penalizing and was quite playable. The bunkers were firm but may have been due to the downpour on Friday. Pace of play was just over 4 hours. The longest wait was on the 18th. We saw the cart girl several times. The only drawback is that the goose is a minimum 1.5 drive for me.

I played here after the GK outings with fellow GKers, Kviser and dablyda. The course was in good shape from tee to green. The course had varied layouts of holes that were challenging and fun. The service was good as we saw the cart girl several times. One complaint would be the carts. My cart was nearly dead half way through the round and the replacement cart sounded it would need repairs soon. This course was far more barren than desert willow but definitely worth the resident rate of $60. I would play here again.

I played here for the GK on April 9. I agree with other reviews the course was in good shape and picturesque with the landscaping and water features. The greens were disappointment with the recent aeration and were quite slower than I expected. Bunkers were firm and are in need maintenance. I find that surprising since it is still prime time for the desert. Fairways, tees, and rough were all in very good shape. The staff was courteous and attentive and the facilities were top notch. I had a great time playing with Wendy, and both Kevin’s. As usual Johnny did a great job with organizing the event and extensive prize list. Thanks again to Johnny for all of his efforts.

Played here with fellow GKer, Kviser on Saturday. On the drive to the course we passed by Knollwood Country Club and I made comment about very slow play - a foreshadow for the day. Well that slow play turned into a 6 hour round. My bad for cursing the round. Like Kviser said the Bermuda was still semi-dormant and the greens were ok but inconsistent. Bunkers had decent sand but some were not raked. Enjoyed a good hot dog after the 9th hole which was the best part of the day. I don’t think I will be back here on the weekend.

This was my first time playing Rams Hill and a Tom Fazio course and I must say I was quite impressed. The fairway was immaculate with great coverage and good lies to be found everywhere. Greens were the best I ever played and the fastest. The bunkers had the perfect amount of sand especially if was able to get out them. Staff was helpful and gave good advice. To my pleasant surprise the range had generous pyramids of titlist pro v1 balls with range finders. The chipping and pitching practice area was in great shape too. The French dip sandwich at the club house was expensive. but the backdrop was hard to beat. I want to thank John for another first class event and the generous drawing. I will be back.

First time playing Hansen Dam on 10/24 with fellow Gker Kviser. The fairways and rough were in good conditions and if anything over watered in some areas. Greens were slow and bumpy. The strangest thing was the maintenance crew hosing down the greens on a packed Saturday. POP was quite slow. We had 1 group in front of us teeing off from the black tees when they should have been on the ladies tees. Bunkers were decent. Not sure if I would play here again for the price we paid. Better deals and conditions to be found in Ventura County. The best part of the course was stopping at Rigos tacos. I would go back for that.

As fellow Gkers have stated, the course is in great shape with lush fairways and rough. The greens showed very little balls marks if any. Greens rolled medium fast to fast. The bunker had ample soft sand. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This was my first GK Plays and will not be my last. Special thanks to John and River Ridge for organizing this. Loads of fun with fellow GKers, Kevin, Tim and John.

Not too much to add to the thorough review that Kviser wrote about the Vineyard course. First time for me at the Ridge and it won’t be my last. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Greens ran true but the fairways were thin and dry in spots. Bunkers were in decent shape with adequate sand. Practically having the course to ourselves made the round quite enjoyable. The only complaint would be not to schedule the foot golfers crossing paths with the regular golfers.

Met up with my buddy and his wife at Terranea, Course was beautiful and the views of Catalina and the Pacific even better. Fairways were lush and the rough was thick around the bunkers, Sand was soft in the bunkers. I should know since i found the beach on multiple shots. The greens were fast and the tee boxes were even but the ground was hard. The staff was great and tee time were staged 15 minutes apart. For a 9 hole par 3 $55 may seem expensive but when every hole overlooks the Pacific and one can see grey whales from the tee box it's hard to beat.
