Second time playing this course since it's remodel; ( pseudo links style ). Man...Love this track. Very impressed with the condition of fairways and greens. This course is plush...comparable to courses that charge 3 times as much. ( bunkers were not playable due to overnights rains, but were fully loaded with , what looked like fresh sand. )
If you haven't played here since the city owned the municipal courses....you'll be impressed with what a professional transformation has taken place.
Sure hope Southern AZ. supports the continuing efforts that make our munies some of the best. ( what a difference a couple of years and a professional management company makes! )

Start by saying course was in very good shape. Tee box to green; very nice. ( except the fairways were Not blown off before round started, at 7:15 .
Here's where my review takes a nose dive. ( One: course related and the other golfer related.)
The employee ( that should have blown off fairways, with the 'pull behind jet blower', pretty much stayed with us for 3Hours ! ( sometimes circling us while we were attempting to play) 3 Hours !! It was like playing at an airport ! Not only should this have been done already, but his, And his employers lack of respect for their customers has shown me , and my playing friends, that the Randolf golf complex is in dire need of a management attitude adjustment! What should have been an enjoyable golf getaway, turned out to be a 4 hour pain in the Ass.
Secondly: twosome in front of us... taking practice putts, after missing first putts...at least one full hole ahead of them empty for the entire back 9. As much as they were to blame, ( and we voiced or complaints, to deaf ears, ...again I blame the Randolf golf complex. Where was your Ranger? Do you even have one?
What a shame to let such a wonderfully ( maintained ) golf course dictate a horrible experience due to lack of proper management and supervision.

Perfect weather today; 60's- 70's for a 6:00am tee time. Kudos to this company in their take over of Tucson's municipal courses. From tee box to greens, everything was in pristine condition. ( a far cry from years past ) Fred Enke is a desert target course, so although not too long, it still requires using your head instead of the "grip-it & rip it " mentality. A $30.00 green fee ( on line ) ,more than makes up for my shortcomings as a "good" golfer. Oh yeah...can't beat a 4 hour round either. The staff , whether in the kitchen or on the course, continues to impress. ( hope Southern AZ. Continues to support our city courses. )
