I know i just entered a course rating but after reading some of the entries about Angeles National I felt I had to respond. The way the tee boxes are setup for any level of player are perfect. If you think this course is unfair you should head back to the pitch and putt.

OK YOU WORK AT ANGELES NATIONAL ?

What can I say ? I dont feel that the front nine plays fair. The lines of the course are not defined, and I found it very difficult to know to where to direct my shots. It seems that whenever you hit the L Z's, you wind up in trouble, meaning that when you hit the center of the fairway, the ball tends to roll towards enviromental areas, rather then away which not only makes for alot of lost golf balls, but slows the round down tremendously because of golfers trying to retrieve their ball. The back nine plays much better. Although the greens are very hard, they're nice. I've been told it will take aproximatly two years to be seasoned, so that they will recieve a ball and hold it. Having said that, hit all your approach shots short and let them run on to the green, because they will not stop. The pace of play was ok, about five hours (?) to complete eighteen holes, and there were lots of enviromental nazis.

The course is very nice and the price is right.
The greens are nice but the golfers do not repair there divits ? the greens are damaged and need attention. make sure to call the stater or check the weather for the day the wind is unreal it was over 40 MPH

Lots of fun and fair .The course is very green and fairways are soft you don't get alot of roll. The greens are slow but they are in very nice condition.

The city of Los Angeles needs to hire a greenskeeper and not a gardner the bunkers are wet and muddy The fairways are just pathetic there is no grass it's a joke the ground is so hard it's like hitting off concrete you dont need to worry about replacing divots.The greens are in fair condition but slow. Played (10 ) times this year the it's been same each time

WOW worth the drive some wind but very nice.

This Track is Junk keep your money the greens are the worst I have ever seen .This was such a nice course at one time. The city needs to put some money into it and give it life again . Played on 12/2/03

This track is not well Take a look at the photos it's needs help. The fairways need Help the greens as well.
