Wow, Good got even better. I payed $28 with a cart to play yesterday and the course was in great shape. I was told $28 was good anytime anyday, I asked and was informed that it was $33 on the weekends anytime.

Once again well worth the $30 green fee I found on golf now. It's been a while since i've played here, I was impressed to see the condition of the course. I played 27 holes and the first 18 the greens were pretty slick. After some growth they were slower for our MAD Nine. I noticed new tee boxes on #8 and #17 (already open) and 4, 9 which look to open in a few monthes. New Markers were on most of the sprinkler heads. There was more grass in the fairways than I remember. The course, and surrounding mountainsides look very lush adding a special ambiance to the experience. Pace of play could have been a little better but for a public golf course, anything under 4 hrs 45 min is good. Another very good experience.

Like many S. California courses Eagle Crest has just comepleted its maintenance. I played today and was very impressed with quality of the course. The greens were pure, just a little slow still. The nice guy in the shop said that the greens would be faster next week. The fairways had been cut on the front 9 and man were they lush. The back 9 was scheduled to be cut tomorrow morning. The only word that comes to mind was WOW!! I've played this course on and off for 5 to 6 years and have NEVER SEEN SO MUCH GRASS!! There was nobody out there and I played in less than 4 hours. With their Octoberfest special I played for only $40 which included a Bratwurst and Beer! I enjoyed my experience.

Well I have to say that the condition of this course has been pretty bad in the last year or so CHEERS to staff. This course is just coming out of its aerification and overseeding processes and the improvements are INSANELY GOOD. The fairways don't appear to have been dropped all the way yet but in another week or so watch out. I'd say they're about 3/4 of an inch. I've played EagleCrest on and off for about 5 years and I've never seen this much thick carpet on the fairways!!!! The greens haven't been dropped all the way either but I'd say they're rolling about an 8 but man are they lush. For the price this place is hard to beat! It is a little warm but the scenery is Awesome and its gonna be exciting to see what this place looks like in the next few weeks.

You wouldn't recognize this course 3 months ago. The greens are lush, the fairways have greended up a lot. you can even differentiate between the fairways and rough. Great job greenskeeper!!!! I think Rosales is his name!!

Well, It's about time. EagleCrest is finally returning to its old form. After a very rough time with the heat this summer it seems that the greens have returned to tip top shape. The Additon of a brand new cart fleet doesn't hurt the atmosphere either. I used a two for one coupon found in the southland golf and I have to say it was well worth my 27.50. A must play this time of year.

I have played a lot of golf courses in North County in the four years i have lived here. I have to say quite honestly that this round of golf at the vineyards was by far the most miserable round of golf I have experienced in california. due to the heat the course seemed fairly empty. While on the first tee, I observed 6 large black blurs on the green. I saw two maintenance carts drive by, and do nothing so I thought nothing of it. Upon arriving at the green, I noticed that the black spots were crows eating the surface. THere were literally 6 different areas on the green that looked as if they'd just been punched, with no consistancy by the d%mn birds. Futrhermore, the vinyards have become quite sufficient at the breeding of gnats. not 10 to 20 buzzing in your ear as you hit. 50 or so around your head, and another 200 or more so around the rest of you. For a tee time that starts in the middle of the heat you would think the course would not be watering for fear of cooking the green grass as we have all seen so many places do so many times before. However here, upon questioning the puddles of gnat larva in the fairways and rough it was stated that the water was there to keep the course green. Personally i would much rather see a few brownspots on the fairway than see any of my open orfices invaded by bugs. The front of house staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and polite. The practice facilities are awesome as well. Quite honestly I've always enjoyed playing this course before, but until the vineyards looks into some type of extermination, i won't be back.

Well, considering the heat the groundskeeping crew is doing an excellent job. the course is in great shape. The greens are rolling well. Much better early in the day than later in the afternoon. Won't lie, it is hot, but well worth the price and the pace of play is remarkable.

This course is truely a hidden gem. everyone needs to play it at least once. The facilities have been updated from opening, yes they finally have a functional pro-shop. On top of that, the new management has the current staff wearing golf attire and being polite to customers. The greenskeeper seems to have everything under control and outside of the construction from cart path installation the course is in Awesome shape. Gotta play it

Well I have to say it's about time. For years I've played this course and can't tell you how many times I've heard or said "imagine how nice this place would be if American Golf would Just spend a little money. Well...that time has come. I was delighted to see the improvements to the grill, the parking lot, the pro-shop, and dare I say it, the tee boxes. I think nine of them are in the process of comepletely being re-done. From what I was told this is only the beginning stages of a major renovation. I hope so because The Muni is always interesting to say the least. It's nice to see the course moving in the right direction. Hopefully this renovation will include plans for the muni's "eye soar" of a driving range. I don't want to ask for to much though,,,American Golf is actually giving back to this course,A major step considering they have run so many of their acquisitons into the ground. Let's hope they've turned a corner, for all golfer's sake.
