Played here with a free round for Veterans Day. Played the round with a fellow vet. Course was in decent shape for November. Course played like two different courses. The front 9 versus the back 9 had different layouts. It’s no longer a Troon course but under decent management. They are adding to it I believe a top golf or something similar. They were rebuilding a couple of green complexes and other work to the course. Kinda of an odd layout ass the practice green was right behind the clubhouse but you had to drive to the driving range. I really wish more courses in Texas had GPS on the carts as it helps if you’ve never played the course before. Defiantly a resort course as there was a hotel in the premise and it’s a across the street from Texas Motor Soeedway and the outlet mall. Overall fun and fair course.

Decent golf “track” style course. POP has always been good seeing as this is a very popular course. Type of course where a wayward tee shot is still playable from the other fairway...and it happens...ALOT! Def the type of course I describe as a party course. Meaning you don’t have to be good to have a good time. It’s an Arcis owned course and I think they run the course better than Fossil Creek another Arcis course designed by Arnold Palmer. (I think Fossil creek tends to lean on that fact too much) the track is setup as a back and forth type layout. You shoot towards the hole one way and come back the other way on the next hole. Price is fantastic as an Arcis member I pay 20 bucks a round with a bucket of range balls and cart. With that price you can see why it’s so popular. Right on the banks of the Lake Lewisville and the water life is abundant. From tons of turtles to huge alligator gar. Not too much of a challenge and defiantly a feel good course if you’ve played a tougher course that really handed it to ya. I would suggest it if you have family or friends in town and wanna get a round in without worrying too much about having to bring your A game.

Pretty good course for the price. Arnold Palmer course and it shows. Varied terrain, lots of undulation. Course has a very unique setup as there is a little bit of everything offered from peninsula greens to having to shoot over a creek and over a rock face that hides the green. No gps on carts so some sort of gps is recommended. Takes a few rounds to get the layout and learn the speed zones and such...highly recommend!

Played this course for the first time with the GK folks. Great group of people which made the day even more enjoyable. Overall the course was the best course condition wise I’ve encountered in the valley, it was tourney ready even for late August under a Phoenix sun. It’s definitely a drive to get here from anywhere in the valley but the drive was half the fun getting there. The scenery is like a painting. Wildlife was abundant and loved the fact that there were no homes minus the 5 built before the recession. Fairways were lush and allowed many different shots. The course is challenging yet rewarding just the same. Probably my favorite sets of par 3s I’ve played yet in my short “career”. The staff at the course was exceptionally from the cart crews to the cook all were extremely helpful and didn’t mind pointing the guy whose never been here before in the right direction. I would def recommend this course to anyone who asks.
