I got to the course around 8:30 AM and mention to the Starter that I am a senior and he ask if I have the senior card and I don't , I am a senior and he keep telling me I am not, anyway this course is not worth $46.00 dollars any day of the week, month or year. Its a dog track, will not be back again for any reason. Fairways like a sandtrap, lots of bare spots. muddy. A real Dog Track. Not recommended

05/24 , On the Tee on time with a wedding ceremony on the 1st Tee with a couple of guys, nice. Course is in decent shape, greens are slow for the most part and divots are all over the greens. My group got to to 10th tee, lo and behold there was 4 groups waiting, either 2 or so groups jump in front, one of guys i was playing with went to the pro-shop to see what's up, Keith at the pro-shop said there is nothing he can do, he can't leave the pro-shop and the marshall went home, really, then he said, either we work it out ourselves or deal with it. I am sure there is a manager of this course or a mechanic or whoever is working should be able to come out and see to it that the problem is fix. Unacceptable, the worse experience, will never play here again and i will tell everyone about it.

Played at 6:45 AM overall its ok, at hole #7 the 3 some hit up on us, we thought it was just a mistake , till it happen again in the next par 4, we called the pro-shop and ask for a marshall, by the time we got to 13 hole no marshall. Just as soon as we teed off on 18, marshal showed, thanks a lot, thanks your support to the players. Will not be back.

Tee Time was 2:05 and a couple and myself to the 1st Tee of Presidio at 1:30, and i said to myself good 30 minutes early. By the 3rd hole it was backed up at least 2 groups. Roughly 10 to 20 minutes wait for every hole from that point. We finished the round at 7:10 PM about 6 hrs. to play 18....Not acceptable and the golf course did not do anything to fix the problem...One of the reason i play Riverwalk if i have to...Poor course Management...I wont be back until they make somr drastic change in MANAGEMENT. The greens are full of DIVOTS.
Not worth it.

Friend and i played July 5th, tee time at 7:03, got off at 6:45. We had the course to ourselves, due to the gas problems not a lot of golfers drive to play this course, too bad. the tee boxes are great, the fairways are lush, the greens are medium fast over all Champions is worht the money, time and gas to play it. EXCELLENT. Our suggestion is to have a discounted green fees for a month os so and see if East Vally will get golfers in to play

Played 9/29 / 9:09 Tee Time....Checked in and we were charged $70.00 not $50.00 which we pay for the last 5 times we played here. Pro Shop does not tell you that after 8:00 AM it is now $70.00, this change was in effect 2 months...Customer service do let everyone know of your changes...Imrpove also on your yardage marker like plant Palm Tress on each side of the Fairways for 200 yards os so....We were stucked behind a two some, and Marshall did not do anything even after we callled the preo shop twice, Overall the course is good, 5 1/2 hours for 18 holes,,,,,,,HMMMM

Played 8/10. Started 20 minutes late. The course is not what i expected it to be. Some holes are ok, the rest, looks like they run out of land. And the noise from the planes taking off from Palomar airport, it is very distracting. Of course the plane crash, makes me very uncomfortable. It is way overpriced.....Torrey Pines is cheaper and 200 % better than this course.... I won't be back.....There are far better course around San Diego.....No Thanks.

Played August 27,07 at 1:45 PM...Staff was good, nice golf cart, needs GPS system badly...Unique layout, pretty good shape and the greens roll true. The only negative i can say are the tee box>>>>it is like 1/2 an inch of dirt and then rocks the rest....Soften the tee box a bit....One par 5 over 600 yards,,,,,whew and its uphill too....Good course.

I read ggreenskeeper.org for the deciding factor where friends and i are going to play. Carlton Oaks was on te top ten as # 10 on the list. What a disappointment, totally diasappointed. The tee box are uneven and bare, fairways are like dirt, sand traps are like the cart path, hardly any sand, and the greens are inconsistent, lots of divot, and mostly the customer service is below 10, for the green fee they are charging, we would rather play at Mission Trails, Chula Vista or Bonita, far far far better golf courses all around.......We won't be back and we will spread the word.

Played 7/29/06 - twilight, as much as i like Torrey Pines, there is no MARSHAL, play is so slow, 5 1/2 hours or longer. My group had to say something to the golfers ahead nad then some to others in the fairway. I see the MARSHAL hanging around the starter most of the time, but nowhere to be seen on the course. Wake up and smell the coffee. Your service SUCKS big time.

Played May 21st, got on at 3:45 Twilight. Before we hit the 1st ball the fairway was open for at least 20 minutes, no one was teeing off. Then we got behind a 4some and they were so slow, no MARSHAL to be seen, the cart girl showed up several times though. Players assistance is big fat 000000000000000000000. CUstomer service is also in question. As much as they charge it should be 2nd to none for CUSTOMER SERVICE. Torrey Pines is ZERO. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Played here on 3/11/06, course in great condition. But the greens are super fast, even for the public. They need to let the greens grow a little more so you can enjoy golf. Most of us are not professionals and MAKE THE GREENS MORE FORGIVING. As it stnads green fee is not worth it, alot more gofl course around SAn Diego or vicinity thats much better than BARONA.
