Played on March 15th. Pace of play was pretty slow (5 1/4 hours- at one point stood for 17 minutes on the 16th tee), but we were behind a tournament of players that wanted to goof around more than golf around. Haven't been here for about 15 years, and the course is better than I remember. Most the course was in good shape, but the greens were the most inconsistent, some bumpy, some smooth, some hard, some spongy, some slow and some fast, but nice to say that this course had the fewest ball marks of any course in the area - hopefully a nice trend that other courses should really encourage. A couple of fairways look like they took quite a beating, most notably #9, which would be an oustanding hole if the fairway wasn't so bare. Lots of elevation changes and quite challenging for a par 70 course. While some par 4s were quite short, there are at least 6 strong par 4s that would stand up against the toughest on any other course. Par 3s were very strong also. Be prepared for uneven stances all day, quite a challenge. Keep your drives in the fairway because the rough, while not penal, does challenge club selection and usually was a 1/2 stroke penalty.

Played 7:30AM Saturday morning, Aug 11th. Encountered pretty thick fog for the first four or five holes. Couldn't even see the fairway and green on number 2. Course in pretty good shape, and apparently course is getting in shape for pro-am next month. Rough is getting thicker all around the course - you sometimes have to be right on top of your ball to find it. Makes hitting fairways a premium. Straight hitters will be rewarded with good scores, but bring your best putting game to the course - it is a must.

Played on 7/3/07 during the Super Twilight Rate - THE BEST DEAL in the area. In spite of the recent heat wave, the course is in great shape. The only thing to note was that the greens were a little bumpy, probably due to two factors, (1) end of the day, and (2) hit the greens at a bad time in the mowing cycle. This would be my choice for course against others in the area if the green fees were the same.

Played this course on 6/23/07. Went out at 5:45AM to beat the heat. I always marvel at how much water is put on this course. Some areas of casual water in the middle of fairways, but overall course is always in great shape - the greens favor good putters, they run true and fast. Driving is a challenge on several holes - either because of the trees narrowing the driving area or because longer drivers can drive through some fairways doglegs. Roughs areas are typically very narrow before you move directly to dirt or some very bare areas. But overall, well worth the money.

Played this course on 6/28/07. As has been said before, the super twilight rate is the best deal around - it allows my son and I to play golf at least once per week, which is worth every penny to me. We teed off at 5:15 and finished 15 holes by 8:00. We could have finished 18 if the group in front had been a little speedier. Everything about this course was very pleasant - even when playing in 90-100 degree heat. Greens roll true, sand traps have sand (really!!!) and the course appears to be maintained well. The only drawback is the driving range (no woods), but good practice areas (putting and chipping greens witha bunker). Going back every week through the summer.
