Played Saturday 18 with an early tee time. I have to say, this is the worst condition I've seen for El Dorado. With the rain and all of the drainage challenges at El Dorado, there was a lot of standing water even though it didn't rain for the last two days. The most aggravating part is the lack of communication at the front desk or when reserving. There was no sign of fairways not being cut AT all and portions of the greens being sanded. Literally you can drive to the center of the fairway and not find your ball because they hadn't cut the fairways. I realize that it is extremely wet and the mowers would destroy the fairways but having a sign at the front desks would help people make an informed decision. Unfortuntely there are still people willing to play so there's no reason for them to improve.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
Unfortunately, it was not a happy one for people this morning at Eldoraro and Skylinks. Without any signs and communication, American Golf (Rick GM at El Dorado) decided to model of split tees out. They had people on the front nine and then the back nine. This is all about making money and I understand. But, this is NOT going to work. We were the first group out and by the turn, there was an entire group on the back nine 2 groups deep. Yes, I admit that we play at a good pace but now people are being punished for waking up early and playing in a timely manner. I got a text from my friend and he was playing Skylinks and he also said the same model was being implemented. I

When we teed of the back nine, all holes were 2 group deep. This is ridiculous. I literally walked off the back nine as it would have taken 5 hours to play. Everyone is front stacked and by the time I left the course, there was no one on the tee box

The course overall is in great condition. Greens roll true. So if you want to play early morning and be willing to spend 5 hours and you are OK with waiting then this course is for you.
I am sorry for the staff that has to work there today. Not only do they have to work the holiday but they have alot of people angry at them.

Follow up: Received an email from Rick. A true professional and followed up with the issues. He has indicated that improvements with communication. I value him getting back to me to address the issues.

this place is worth every penny. customer service was great from the front desk to the cart guy. cannot say enough great things about this place. just be aware that when the winds kick up it gets extremely difficult. greens were great eventhough it had rained. even the maintenance crew were great. they actually stopped mowing and waited for you to hit. a must play

it does not matter how well the greenskeeper is. if people do not fix their ball marks no greenskeeper can keep up with any course. this course gets alot of play. very nice layout..trees are mature...the rough is high. still seeing the effects of the aeration. #14 green is still a temp green.

Played today and the course is in great condition. Went on the waiting list and got out right away. Chris at the desk is great. Greens are very responsive.

What a beautiful layout. Play there the first time. Golf course layout is around the mountain. Fairway is lush. Greens run smooth. Service is great. Would come back for sure. Pace of play was a little bit slow, but it is understandble considering how hard the course is.. Aim dead center and should be okay do not have to hit it far...just center aim. Greens hold well.
